Verizon has now sent me my sixth or seventh defective rebuilt phone. Except for the last one the others were the original Motorola Android. I know from the web the problem with all of these was the proximity sensor. I either had five or six of them with the same problem.
After screaming bloody murder they sent me an Android II. Good news, the proximity sensor works. Bad news is that the LED on the front of the phone stops working after about two or three minutes of use. Only way to reset or fix the problem is to remove the battery (Verizon's suggestion). But who in their right mind would do that every three to five minutes?
Verizon tells me that Motorola rebuilds the phones. Who at either firm is doing quality control? Anyone?
I've sent three or four relatives to Verizon Wireless because of great customer service. Having to rethink that.
