I am so sorry to see that I am not the only one to be scammed by these people. I am so furious that words can't even describe. I was contacted by them and they told me that I had won a shopping gift card/shopping spree. I was somehow talked into purchasing magazines. I got on the internet to later discover that they are scammers. I tried to call and have them cancel my account right away and they told me there is nothing they can do til later today. I had my debit card cancelled, but they still got 49.90 out of me. I am currently trying to dispute the charge with my credit company. I am very afraid that because they have my social security number that they might try and say that I defaulted on that account. If they do not cancel my account completely I will have legal brought into this. I was naive and stupid to believe that there are still honest people out there. Do not try to call and complain with this company. They are very rude and they do not give a shit. I was hung up on snd treated very badly. I guess for me I was stupid, and I am very ashamed and embarrassed. Mountain Area Communication is a fraud. Never give out your info. to anyone! By the way did anyone notice that they never say their companies name when you call? Not once had I heard "Mountain Area Communications".
