I ordered a dvd at the start of September and it never arrived. Following the 28 days i emailed moviebytes and they promptly replied and asked me to be patient due to the postal strike. I waited a furthwer two weeks and emailed again asking for the refund. They promised they would send it out again and told me it was on it's way. Two weeks later I emailed them again as it had still not been delivered and they have completely ignored all subsequent emails asking for a refund.

As with all these others I have had a similarly bad experience with Moviebytes. I ordered 4 DVD's from them on 21 June to the tune of nearly £50. When I hadn't received anything by 15 july I emailed them and they responded very apologetically to say all items posted on the 23 June had been lost in the post and they had sent duplicates as a precaution. I then waited until 5 August and emailed them again and they said the goods were on their way. On 17 Aug I contacted them yet again and they responded to say that my delivery had been returned to them as uncalled for as I hadn't been in to sign for the goods. Again they were quite apologetic so I wasn't particularly suspicious and stupidly I agreed to let them have a 3rd try at sending the items. I then contacted them on 16 Sept and subsequently on 21 Sept with no response. I then found this website and read all the other posts about this site and realised I've been royally ripped off - unable to claim via Paypal as the time elapsed is too long and I paid on my Switch card so cannot claim any of the money back :( I contacted my local trading standards office about them to see if anything could be done but they have checked an apparently the website is registered in Singapore, even though it has co.uk address, so there is absolutely nothing they can do...

Similar to a number of complaints about this company, ordered DVD's that were never received. Luckily I checked out this website and immediately went through the complaints procedure on Paypal and received my money back.

Purchased Greys Anatomy Season 4 on DVD from MovieBytes.co.uk. When is arrived it was obvious that it had been recorded off TV. Contacted Movies Bytes by email to inform that the DVD was fake. They would offer a full refund upon receipt of the returned DVD, however Moviebytes have not issued any refund. Nor can they confirm that they have received the DVD. Due to the location of the company being in Thailand, it was difficult to ensure that the DVD was returned successfully.

Ordered Season 4 Greys Anatomy and when it arrived from Thailand it is blantently a copy, bad quality and a wallpaper backed DVD box. The DVD does not play correctly and is jumpy and awful quality. The company are soooooooo rude when replying to emails deflecting the issue, trying to rely on their terms and conditions and trying to avoid the issue that the item is not real. I have asked for their address which they won't give and ignore my requests for a refund. Luckily I used Paypal so have instigated a claim with them to get my money back. They also tried to direct me to a website regarding fake disney films where people aparently discuss their "real" imported DVDs and how they look fake. This has obviously been created by moviebytes to avoid claims and their emails are designed to prolong your attention probably so you miss the claim limit time with Paypal and they get to keep their money that they have extorted from you in exchange for goods that probably cost them about £1 to make. Please do not buy from this company, the upset it causes is not worth the savings!
