	barry warner July 6, 2011 terrible service If you are smart in any way stay as far away from this rip off company as you can. If you worked hard for your belonging's and do not want them handled by people who do not speak english and are rude and money is all they care about, my price was more than doubled by a driver who just wants to get your money and leave never mind if everything is wrapped, who cares if it breaks it is not mind is the way they think. Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Find a place that does not hire people off the street and know nothing about moving or packing.I can olny hope they are run out of town.

From the time we made the first call until the last box was emptied, your employees went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel comfortable. Our contact was Alex, who was always available when we needed him. He was quick to respond and very reassuring. Thank you for making this a pleasant experience.
	Irene Walter June 24, 2011 moving experience I will like to post that I actually had a great moving experience with SM&S relocation. We were actually relocated by them last month. Our items were in their storage units for about three week per our request. They promised our items would be taken care of in the storage facility. We were scared for our items after reading horrible stories about other companies. We called to schedule the delivery and were offered our preference in delivery dates. We were happy to hear that since we have little ones at home and needed their baby items on time. Our items were delivered unharmed I am glad to say nothing was missing. Needless to say this company was great and refreshing surprise for us. They were prompt and professional. SM&S did a good Job for us.
	Beverly E March 16, 2011 moving scamers As mentioned by many others: This was the worst move we ever had. We have moved with commercial movers 6 times in the past 45 years and never had an experience like this. They were to have come on Aug 30 or 31. Did not show up till about 4 pm on Sept 2 in a rental truck that was obviously too small. In the middle of the move they took Labor Day weekend off for 3 days. This resulted in our having to pay rent for the additional days we were in the house in Ogden On the days they did show up it was always 11 a.m. or after and then were miffed when we didn't want them to work far into the night. We are both in our late 70's and that was just not acceptable. They came totally unprepared with no specialty boxes that the rep assured us they would have. We had packed a lot of our things but the things they did pack were just thrown in boxes and none were labeled. It has made unpacking a living hell. There was damage to a number of things but we have been unable to get any satisfaction as they will not send us claim forms and will not answer any of our phone calls, letters or e-mails. They thought we had $ because we were Srs. and they managed to charge us triple what the original bid was. It appears that they bid low and then make up for it with the exorbitant amount they charge for overweight loads. We filed a claim with BBB but have had no satisfaction. We cannot hire an attorney because they took $5500 over and above their bid amount. Why are companies like this allowed to be in business? It appears that they tend to prey on the elderly.
	a whistle blower October 19, 2010 bounced payroll checks This company pays 8 dollars per hour. This company then will not pay you your hours. This company once you threaten to go to the Federal Labor Law Board will give you a check that bounces. Never work for this company or move with them..they cheat the customers.
	Mary Belle Adams April 22, 2009 Professionals I think i made the right choice by choosing cross country, they were very professional and the price was good too. i was going to book with another company but they gave me a better quote and i felt i took my chances but i feel i really did make the right choice.
	ROCKLANDMASHMANGLE February 2, 2009 DO NOT USE Rockland MM Moving 1. If you receive a “binding estimate”, be wary - they will not abide by it! 2. They will load your goods onto their truck, and then tell you that you have more goods than was in the “binding estimate”. Our “estimate” went from $8, 000 to $14, 000 after they loaded our goods, and half of our goods were already at their storage. 3. They will hold your goods HOSTAGE and threaten to sell them if you don’t agree to the higher price. On the day of the move, I was able to get Ofir to agree to do the move based upon weight. But once their goods were in their warehouse, and we were in our new state, Galit refused to abide by that. 4. The only thing they respond to you by using the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA). This will take time, but it’s the only thing they respond to. 5. If you are doing an INTER-STATE move, DO NOT USE these guys. They are way too small. They have a tiny warehouse in Rockland, NY, and only a handful of trucks and employees. 6. They do not use their own trucks for inter-state moves, but outsource it out to the cheapest truck they can find, and use the cheapest movers on the other end to unload your truck. 7. Just because they’re a member of the Better Business Bureau doesn’t mean they’re a good business. The path to resolution with these guys is through other government organizations (AMSA and FMCSA). 8. MM stands for “Mash and Mangle”. They will not respond to your claims if they damage your goods (and they will). 9. If you file a claim, they aren’t big enough to send somebody out to view the damaged goods. You will have to: a) take pictures, b) get three written estimates for all items that are broken, c) mail those pictures and estimates. Even then, they won’t respond to you. EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO PAY MORE, USE A BIG CARRIER FOR AN INTER-STATE MOVE! IT’S NOT WORTH GOING WITH THE LOW-BALL BINDING ESTIMATE (WHICH THEY WON’T STICK WITH ANYWAY)!

We agreed upon a price. It turns out there were only 4 vending machines to pick up and they were very small, about 1/3 the size I had told them there were going to be, so there was nothing for them to complain about!! However they weren't going to unload the truck unless I paid them more than we agreed upon. They left, and called later trying to tell me if I didn't pay the new price, I would be paying storage costs as well at $100 a day. I agreed upon paying a new and higher price, and paying cash with no receipt and I had to paid in full before they would unload the truck. They left me no choice. They unloaded all the items and only brought one of the pieces inside and left the rest out on the neighbours driveway before they sped away. Vending machines are extremely heavy and I had no manpower or equipment to do move them inside. I've heard of this scam before.
