My complaint is about a dangerous man that lives among the good citizens of Lake Ariel Pa. and about the justice system in Lake Ariel region. I will call the monster Mr V. He is a fitness instructor in the Scranton/Moosic and Lake Ariel region. My sister took classes and had a friendship with him for 5 years before they started dating. He was very persistent in winning her affection. Once they started dating he monopolized her time, wouldn't allow her to see her friends or family. While she was at work one day he went into her apartment and moved all her belongings into his home in Lake Ariel. Once he moved her in, he broke her car and threw away her cell phone. It was then when the frequent brutal beatings started. He would take her into the woods to show her the place where he said he would bury her if she left him. He made her walk in front of him while he held a knife to her back. He dragged her across a parking lot by her hair. He also threatened to murder our parents and her kids and grandson if she told anyone. He would drive her to work everyday and wait outside her job for 8 hours and call her every half hour. The doctor she worked for complained that he was worried about my sister because he felt something was very wrong. He too felt this man was dangerous to a point where he hired a security guard to sit in the waiting room. She was terrified to tell anyone because she felt he would carry out his threats to murder her kids or our parents. One day while she was at work her friends picked her up, brought her to the police station and they put her in a safe house with only the clothes on her back. She had to leave her job of 10 years and left the state for 6 months but returned to take care of our sick mother. She obtained an order of protection 4 times because they expire after 2 months. Why is that?? Two months is enough? It's 2 years automatic in NY. She got a court order to get her belongings back accompanied by a police officer from the Lake Ariel jurisdiction. He was incidentally a" good friend" of Mr V. When they arrived at Mr V's home he would not allow access. He put her things on the lawn. My sister told the police officer that many things were missing. He told her to make a list and go back to court. This monster kept her 2 beloved pet cats, all her jewelry, all her good clothes, gave her 1 of every shoe, all her furniture, irreplaceable photos of her children growing up and all her legal documents, basically everything she worked for all her life.
What really pissed me off is that the Lake Ariel policeman, Mr V's friend, showed up in court that day and told the judge that she was lying and that all her things were returned to her. She got nothing back. Two nights ago on Jan 9th 2009 while at her job she saw that Lake Ariel Police officer. The night after on Jan 10th Mr V, the monster started stalking her again at her job. Aren't police officers supposed to uphold the law and protect?? What kind of justice system do you have where this monster is allowed to walk the streets, threaten, stalk, terrorize, and steal a person's life?? Some one out there will be his next victim. I am sending this letter to the District Attorney with the names and addresses of the offenders and others because I fear for my sister's life. If she goes missing or if she gets hurt, Mr V and his friend are responsible and I will see that justice is done.
