recharge card pin
I bought mtn recharge card of N200 with pin 617220199939, scratch it by myself but it has refused to load and the respond was that the card has been used already. who used the card?

Repair Payment for a phone that is still under Warranty
From receiving the phone, it did not do what it had to do, so I did a software upgrade on the phone itself as I read up on your website. A month or so the phone acted up and was sent to your repair centre as I was told I cannot get a new phone.It came back from repairs in March and its now 4 months down the line the cellphone had the same problem but this time with extended problems to it. I now received a quote of R1187.82 which is practically the price of a new cellphone. Firstly, the phone is under warranty so I wont be paying that price. If MTN wants me mad then they should keep pushing for me to pay that amount, its disgusting how you rip off your customers.

unauthorised deduction
An amount of about R200.00 has been deducted from my airtime which i have not authorised. I have called MTN to advise them of this and all they said is that they can't help me. I am not the only one complaining about this and i have sent 3 sms advising this fraud company called NSFW Mob to stop then i get a return sms saying that i am subscribed for R20.00 a day. Surely MTN should be aware of this and should have some kind of system stopping these fraudsters. I will be laying a complaint on Hellopeter and will report to the police as well.

Service
I would like to complain about MTN's poor service. I upgraded to two Blackberry Bolds on friday 25/6/2011 we recieved one that day but the other Bold was surpose to be at the store the teusday (28/6/2011), today is the 5/7/2011 and still no phone. I've drove to the shop everyday and phoned to find out whats the problem but nobody can tell me when i will have my phone. I've been with MNT for about 7years now but if they dont deliver I will take my business else where. I need a answer as soon as possible.

refusal of service
I took out a contract with MTN and was very happy with my phone and the service i received I had the phone for just over a year when it suddenly stopped working. As it was still under guarantee I took in to the branch where i bought it Tygervalley. After a week I received a call stating my phone was ready for collection, upon collecting it I was told the phone was beyond economical repair and it would not be repaired because it had water damage.They showed me a black and white photo copy of a photo taken of the circuit broad showing a circle around the effected area.My phone did not get wet it was never even near liquid there are pieces of paper inside all phones that change colour when they get wet as proof that it made contact with liquid, none of mine have changed colour.I believe MTN does not want to honour my guarantee by choice, I have already complained to them 2 weeks ago and have still not had a response.
Mtn is the worst service provider on the face of the planet I wish I never ever signed up with them I was with Cell C and Vodacom and I can clearly see they by far out shine Mtn. If i can recommend something to you reading this, never ever sign up with mtn they are a bunch of crooks. When my contract expires i will be going back to vodacom the number one service provider in the country.

SIM SWAP
5 days trying to get a sim swap and to my supprise the staff at the MTN help line (173 ) seemed not to be qualified for the job. Every one tells you a different story. I had to be up and down the police station with every one telling you should do this. MTN should please train the people properly and stay in business. Customers should be respected . No customers means No business No jobs for every one

No response or assistance
We are being charged for a cell phone on our contract and have been for the past 4 years that we did not take out/did not want and did not recieve. I have tried to get this resolved countless times with MTN, i have sent all the paper work they have requested several times and nothing has been done. We are still be charged R162 per month for a cell phone and a contract that we don't have. According to MTN they can see that not one single call or sms has been made from this contract. We are still being charged after contless attempts to have this resolved I am sick and tired of being met with incompetent staff and being given the runaround. When we don't pay our MTN account they are very quick to suspend our service. They cannot explain this situation and months go by and nobody from MTN ever comes back to us. R162 every month for the last 4 years is quite a substantial amount and I think that a refund is in order. I am so tired of MTn but our hands are tied.
Please could you advise what we need to do and who to do it with. Many thanks Laura Mc Carthy

IAM STUDENT AND SOMETIMES ITS HARD TO BUY AIRTIME WHAT I DON'T GET IS EVRYTIME I LOAD AIRTIME IT SEEMS TO DISSEPEAR OUT OF NOWHER AND WHAT MAKES ME SICK IS EVERYTIME I CALL THEM THEY SAY I HAVE JOINED SOME SITES WHER BY I HAVEN'T AND THEY DON'T EVEN RETURN MY AIRTIME AND I HAVE A GOOD MIND OF CHANGING MY NETWORK SESRVICE TO VODACOM BECAUSE THEY PROMISE BETTER SERVICE THAN THIS USELESS NETWORK. THEY SAY ON MTN ZONE YOU GET 100% FREE CALLS AND SMS BUT THATS NOT TRUE HOW CAN THEY LIE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS THEY ARE REALLY USELESS

Lost Phone
3 months ago i sentmy Blackberry in for repairs.
To Date I have emailed 5 times & smsed 4times & called into the shop at the somerset west mall 4 times to get to the bottom of the problem. NO ONE follows up on my enquiries. If the phone is lost, I won't go away & neither will the problem.
