When I checked the airtime there was nothing
I am on top up 100 with MTN - my airtime gets topped up on 11th of every month. This month however I received the sms as usual to say that my airtime has been topped up. When I checked the airtime there was nothing. I have been calling MTN since then and nothing has happened. I have been calling MTN all the time - and not once did anyone from MTN call to me. The only thing that the call centre agents can tell me is that the call has not been sorted out yet, and they are still busy with the problem.It's been 13 days and I still don't have my airtime. I'm sure MTN would not be happy if I decided to change the dates that I pay them, of if I decided not to pay them at all!!

I am sick and tired of beign sick and tired of MTN
I have an MTnN contract which ive had for about 6 years now before i was on pay as you go ive had my number for over 10 years now. I have a limit on my bill with MTN but each month it goes over then what the point of having a limit MTN needs to check they billing systems. I have sent several fax's of complaint to MTn and still have had no responce. If i had any other choice i would cancel my contract with MTN but i will loose my number if i do so and MTN is the only network that has reception in the area that i live in . I want MTN to downgrade my contract to MY CALL TOP UP may that way ill be able to monitor my bill. I am really sick and tired of beign sick and tired. MTN needs to do something about they service they need to pull it up those consultants at the call centre are very rude they need to go for training cause this is BULL *** to say the least . I am a very angry and fustrated client and im going to tell the whole world never to get an MTN contract.

Avoid them like a plague
SInce Thursday last week my clients in Pretoria have not been able to contact me on my mobile. When they dail my number it says the number does not exist. Moreover, my husband who also works in Pretoria has not been able to contact me on my mobile via his mobile or land line. This is extremely concerning as it affects my business and if my husband had an emergncy he would not be able to get hold of me. What is not surprising is that 'whatever' is wrong has not been sorted out by MTN as it is 5 days later and the problem still exists. I have not even attempted to call the call centre as you get passed from one blank indivual to another and no one really cares about the problem. Maybe if MTN was not investing so much into the rest of Africa their networks in South Africa could be updgraded and we would actually be able to use what we are paying for.

Still no response as promised
After promises of contacting me on my original problem I haven't had anything from MTN. I called and even the promise maide via the call centre were not honoured. WHAT MUST WE DO TO GET SERVICE!!! I need my phones to be reconnected as promised.

MTN ripping me off again
After signing to have a limit set on my phone bill mtn's system let the bill double and when contacted they said they said they would have it sorted out. When i get called it sometimes goes through to some other lady, how do i know i'm not getting charged for her calls? They have now gone and over billed me once again even though my account shows that i have limit. Whats the use of offering a limit if the system doesn't work?

Waited 2 weeks for the sim cards to be activated
I've open 2 cell phone contract for my kids received the phones and waited 2 weeks for the sim cards to be activated. After several phone calls and visiting the Fochille & Carletonville stores no satisfaction. After I lost my temper they start doing something about it the 1 contract was activated 24 August with 25 sms (The package was 200 sms) the 2nd phone was activate 26 August with the 200 sms. Again I phoned Nita in Fochville she will look into the problem and phone me back. Again I need to phone and ask her what is happening again she reply she is still busy and can not get sattisfaction from MTN Head Office. I phone the cust. service line myself they told me it will be fixed by 20 September then the 1st contract will also be updated with 200 sms per the package on the contract. Well MTN is today 20 September 09 the cotracts update again the 1st one again 25 sms and the 2nd 200 sms, so can you please sort your problems out and appoint people that are compatent to help us solve this problem we are paying for this packages and we are not getting our moneys worth while. I am fed up to keep on phoning and everybody that you speak to wants to pass the bucket.

MTN's unprofessional and disappointing service
I opened an MTN contract and was promised the phone of my choice on the wednesday that week. i went to MTN a week later and the assistant denied it and again took down my details promising to contact me as soon as the Stock arrives.it is now the third week that i am waiting and have not recieved anything. the service is pathetic and unprofessional.

This is the worst service I've ever received
My husband and I have been MTN customers for +- 10 years, we've never had any problems with our cel phones untill recently.I have a Sony Ericsson W910i (upgrade Oct 2008) and my husband a Blackberry (upgrade Jul 2009).My W910i switches on and off on its own and the phone just freezes +- 4 times a day, which results in me having to take out the battery to restart the phone. My husband charged his Blackberry and the LCD screen turned completely white.We went to the Mtn store at Southdowns and my husband handed his phone to Peter (service consultant) he looked at the phone and immediately (very rudely) told my husband that MTN will not repair the phone because of fisical damage. My husband (extremely agitated) told him that he hardly uses his phone. I handed in my phone and got told that I cannot receive a loan phone, due to people's abuse of loan phones they no longer give out loan phones. The manner in which he spoke to both me and my husband was appaling and I am shocked that this is the customer service MTN provides.He was extremely rude and not interested in helping.I cannot go without a cell phone, thus I still have my faulty phone. This is the WORST service I've ever received!

How dare the staff of MTN be so rude unhelpful and arrogant
Today my mothers phone was stolen from her hand bag in Fryburg. She phoned me in a panick to block her sim which I managed to do after 20 mins of trying to get hold of MTN. Do you know if you are not an MTN customer you may not phone their help center? After finally finding a number which didn't say this number does not exist, I managed to contact someone who procceeded to block the sim, grateful I asked if there was anything else I should do? He replied that if I could find the IMEI number I could have the phone blocked too. I found the number and went through the next 15mins again waiting for someone to answer my call. The next person told me it was not possible unless I was the account holder. When I asked to speak to the person I had dealt with I was told he had signed out - at 14:55. When I requested a manager I was told no manager had signed in for the day. When I asked for a superior the phone went dead! Another 15mins of the next phone call...I asked immediately for s superior after explaining the whole rigmiraale again and was told to LISTEN AS I MUST UNDERSTAND. How dare the staff of MTN be so rude unhelpful and arrogant. Thank goodness I'm with someone else. Disgusting!

The response I received from MTN offers no solution to this problem. They are just noting their inefficiencies and that has nothing to do with me all I want is for my bill to be exactly the amount we agreed upon and nothing more!!! For that matter their response is so shallow and unprofessional. RIDICULOUS!!!
