Billing Incompetancy
This is now the third complaint that I am raising for the same issue!! MTN has been billing me for usage that was covered by value added bundles that I had requested.
For 4 months I had high bills & complained each time to their billing departments, each time I was promised some sort of feedback & subsequently my complaints were ignored - I did receive 3 credits in October but when I asked what the credits were for, no-one could answer. I have since queried the nature of the credits & am yet to get a response - is it not a reasonable request to know what the credits were for?
I have also removed MTN's monthly bank debit for fear of more errors & each month I am disconnected & have to call in to remind MTN of the existing query, each time I do so the customer care consultant is embarrassed by the situation & promises to have the situation resolved & I am told that I will receive a call within 24 hours with feedback. Ironically, in each instance, the next time I speak to an MTN employee is when I have to phone in to get my account reactivated & I have to explain the situation to them all over again!!

Suspended Account

My internet service has been suspended from April 17th, 2010, without any notice.The monthly instalment of R211 is paid by debit order. The debit order for Feb 2010 was not offered by MTNSP to the bank, thus it was not deducted. On March 1st, R211 was deducted and April 1st, R422, probably for the February payment that was not deducted. I phoned with my Pay-as-you-go cellphone, to MTNSP's Customer Care Service, but R210 airtime later, no answer. Why do they give a Customer Care Service's contact details, if the service does not excist. I also send them an e-mail on April 23rd from a family's e-mail, which they confirmed has received it, but still no solution to the problem and no internet. Luckily my contract expires in 3 months time and I definetly won't renew it. One cannot even rate their service, because there is no service. Surely I won't recommend anybody to make use of MTNSP.

I have a problem that need to be attended to very agently.
My name is Michael Sithole. I received a call from one of you agents about a cellphone promotion. Because I agently needed a phone, I accepted and subscriped. And I forgot to write down the details of that agent. Now I never received the phone up to today, its about 3 months now. Last months on the 16/11/2009 you debited R407.78 from my bank account, and again I received another statement of R157.00 to be deducted on my account this month, And they have again deducted. Please help me to stop this subscription because I never received that cellphone and the SIM CARD. My cellphone number 0843705330. The dealer still have my application.
I hope my problem will be attended to and solved. Very agently.

Unhappy client-- SIM card registration failure
I've been calling MTN since 22 October 2009, to register my SIM card, I've been talking with multiple call agents at their call center and even today 17 November 2009 my SIM card is still not registered, the only give me different ref no: 55319965, 55421297, 55566005, USD2759311, 55618378, 55669634<br />
please can anyone fix my sim card

POOR SERVICE
I have three cell phone cotract with MTN and it happened that i fall behind with payments, i called them for my statement and making payment arrangement, i was assisted by GUGULETHU who was so nice and calm by the time of requesting payment from me, i asked that she sent me an individual item billing on all the line, she promised that after i had made my first instalment she will fax it to me, i made the 1500.00 payment abnd advised her i had paid, she was so thankful for the payment and requested that i had to remind her the following day for the individual sttmnt for all the accounts, i did as she requested and she promised to send it to me, since from there she never send anything to me and 3 days back i had paid the outstanding in full and requested her that she send me my request, belive until today am suffering to know whats going on with my lines, 0834109627 is one of my contract lines

SMS misuse
I pay R50 for 200 sms's per month. I have noticed that a unknown number has been used on my account. I queried it with MTN but did not receive any feedback.
This has been happening over the last 5 months.
The cell number which is used on mu account is 0839300006. When i dial this no, it says the no is unknown? What is happening here?

No info that Contract expired
I have not been advised that my contract period of 24 mths. is over and now i am being billed the normal fee of R162 a mth. as apposed to R89 a mth. Why have i not been informed? I quess MTN is making money dishonestly !!! I Have been a loyal contract member for 14 yrs. Is this the thank u we get!!! I thought that in business we should try and hold on to our customers but with MTN they just dont care, They are too busy sponsoring events at our cost!!! Well all I can say is Yebo here I come!!! Cell C to the rescue!!! I will spread the word around to encourage others to Port to MTN's competitors!!! BYE, BYE, MTN.

NO COMMUNICATION - CUT OFF
I have been without comms for 10 days now. I have lodged an official complaint at mtnsp but no respone.
