I am a Suhas Ajit Satghare, passed Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from K. J. Somaiya Polytechnic, Vidyavihar, Mumbai in April 2002. Then I took admission in Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Andheri, Mumbai for B. E. in Mechanical Engineering, Part Time degree course in August 2003. I have submitted my original Diploma passing Certificate & 7 original passing marksheets to Sardar Patel College of Engineering in October 2006. Those documents Sardar Patel college forwarded to Mumbai University, Eligibility Section, Ambedkar Bhavan, Kalina, Santakruz, Mumbai for confirming the Eligibility for BE on 25/01/2007.
So till date it’s almost more than 3.6 years gone but still nobody returned me all above original documents. So I want the answer from Mumbai University, Eligibility Section that why are not they returning back my certificates to my BE college ?? And when there are going to do so ?? Is they don’t have the importance about those original documents ?? As a student those documents is my bread and butter but for Mumbai University those documents are only a paper ????? Give me a date or time span when they will return me my original documents.

I am mother of an engineering student. my son could not fair well in first semester but he was confident in his second semester exams but when the results come he finds that he has a drop because of the KT's. He gave for revaluation and receives results after many months by this time he is already non eligible to appear in 3rd semester exam and revaluation results give a passing results. He lost one year. He was punished for nothing. this has ruined the life of the whole family. We kept quite but now no more because same situation is again for his 3rd and 4th semester. This is very distressing and depressing. Today when we talk about child psychology etc for hours. Is the university not causing trauma to the minds of innocent youths.

well... i am another vicitim of the university exams held this year...we have our Mcom Part 1 exams going on...and as every year the paper has to be set in a new version n old version pattern...this pattern should not be changed...but today, 17th April, 2008's ECONOMICS paper was whole and sole related to NEW version and i being an OLD version student could hardly attempt the paper...and wen asked the supervisor, he says "I MYSELF AM CONFUSED"!!...the board should understand how it feels when you study hard and then nothing turns out in the paper...we are students not predictors who can just predict what the university is going to play with us next!!!...its the question of our lives...

The University of Mumbai and its prestige is merely a farce. The following experience of mine might elaborate the statement.

My 7th semester (Engineering) results came on 23rd of February 2007 and to my surprise, I couldn't succeed to clear one of the subjects. As per the university norms, I applied for the photocopy of the answer sheet on 28th of February 2007. It took 45 days (they promise 21 days) for the university to take the photocopy of my answer sheet and send it back to me! The frustration doesn't end here.

Since I was not satisfied with the assessment, I applied for revaluation on 17th April 2007. Today is 12th of July and the university has proved that they are incapable of producing the reevaluated answer sheet even after a period of 86 days (they promise 45 days in the form). That too after levying a charge of Rs.500 for it. I have now re-appeared for this paper and had to do it amidst my 8th semester exams. What kind of administration takes more than two and a half months to make sure that their students are paid fair attention?
I am still waiting for my reevaluated result after taking my ATKT
examination. Now if I clear this subject after revaluation as per my expectations, then why did the university force me through this extra practice for the subject?

I'd like to state here that I have never failed to clear any subject so far, in my many years of education (my aggregate always being above75%) and therefore, this one episode is a black spot marring my spotless record.
Further, It is going to affect my opportunities and studies. Even if we believe the university side that I have flunked in the subject, we cannot justify the delay in the report delivery. They say justice delayed is justice denied. In my case I have been denied justice.

I did not know where else to write; so here goes. I am a student of HR College, studying BMS - '07 batch. The TYBMS exams of Mumbai university ended on 28th april '07. There has been no word as to when the results are going to be declared. There have been rumors through the past 2 weeks saying that the date of result declaration is soon.

Even college professors are clueless. The least our 'great' Mumbai Univ can do is to specify the date of results. I have also heard that a university can take a maximum of 45 days to declare results acc. to a court ruling. After which an announcement needs to be made specifying the reasons and new date.

The Univ has acted as if it is answerable to nobody. We students do not know what to do. One of my friends called me yesterday saying that he has his visa ready, but he is going to miss his convocation at Melbourne as he does not have the results in his hands yet.

I do not understand what stops a university from - at the least - specifying the date of result declarations.

I believe that no action will ever be taken against this; but I hope for the best.
