I saw a lot of posts regarding MVQ*SAVEACE, and since I got it straightened out, I figured I'd post here for others.
I don't know how they did it, but MVQ*SAVEACE and MVQ*CRSSCNTRYSAVE both managed to create accounts for me on their websites, each charging different amounts for a "discount program" of sorts. I called 1-888-593-5216, which was the phone number on my credit card statement for the SAVEACE charges, and they quickly refunded all charges. A little too quickly - this has SCAM written all over it. For the other one, I called them at 1-800-211-9751 and stepped through an automated process to cancel my account. It remains to be seen whether the refunds will actually show up, but they said it should be 2-3 business days.
In somewhat related news, I also got fraudulently charged for, and shipped CDs for Video Professor. I called them and they said their info indicated that I had ordered the $189.95 CDs online & everything but the email address was accurate. Luckily they're allowing me to send everything back and refunding me everything, but I'd be curious whether people being hit with the MVQ stuff have similar situations arise... Please comment if you do - it would be lovely to figure out this little scheme and nail the jerks who are dipping their hands into our already thin wallets!
Best of luck reversing charges - don't just let these things go!!
