Scam
Like the rest of the brite smile stories I was dumb enough to fall for the scam however they only got the trail charge of about $5.00 since after I placed the order i immediately called my bank to cancel my card...this was back in february, I soon after called the company and spoke with a foreign person on 2 seperate occasions they SUPPOSEDLY canceled my trial and was supposed to send me an email however i never received them...so that was my fault that i didnt wait and for the email and soon after...NOW. TODAY I received a letter from:

in the letter theres the schpeel about your card in ending in blah blah has been declined and now i owe a past due balance of $139.95 that i need to pay within 15 days or they will be sending me to a 3rd party collection agency and my credit will be affected. I unfortunately threw the paper of the name of the person i spoke to and it now came back to bite me in the ass!!! so now what can i do for them not to send me to collections or can they even do that?...any help would be appreciated.

charged for it and didn't use it
I ordered the free product and just paid shipping and handling fees of $3.87 and I ordered it on the 28th of May 2010 and i received it on the 2nd of June 2010 which was 6 days later and i figured the 10 day trial period was from when you received it since there is no reason to count days that you don't have the product and so i called over the weekend and could not get through and then tried first thing Monday June 7, 2010 and they said i was outside the 10 days because it started from when i ordered and that all they could do for me was a $20 credit and i told them that i would tell everyone i knew not to order it and i would try and contact a lawyer to get a class action lawsuit and i would tell the BBB and if i ever got word of who owned it that i would give them an earful and i told them that they were a fraud and a scam and i would love for someone to contact me if there is a class action lawsuit. i would be more than happy to be one of the people involved. we need to come together and get these no good jerks that keep taking our money. someone needs to get ahold of a lawyer and advertise the class action lawsuit on tv and i bet millions will call.

they charge me after cancelation
I have call them to cancel about march 14 2010, and I was told that the computers was not working, I call back so many times later the same day, and I was able to cancel, now they saying I did not call them and they still keep trying to charge my account which is closed up. I need them to stop now.

Collections Notice
Hi,
I just wanted to follow up to the complaint I left yesterday re: My Ever Brite Smile Collections letter.
I called the phone number above this morning at 11:30AM and waited on hold for 35 minutes. Finally a Rep answered and he had an answer for everything. No matter what I said regarding the whole collections for a product that I never received rigamarole. {Plus, I forgot to mention yesterday, when I spoke to someone way back in February, I asked for my shipping and handling fee to be refunded. The Rep told me that it would be impossible as it was in the "terms of conditions", blah, blah, blah.
Anyway, the Rep this morning kept insisting that my best option would be to SETTLE and pay 1/2 {$79.00} and he could help me with that, right-o. I am not a wimp and spoke very strongly to this young man, not abusively just kept my ground. He told me "I hope you know that this call is being recorded". I said "Good, as I haven't said anything wrong".
He said that if I didn't settle this AMOUNT now it would basically be around forever.
After I insisted several times that I NEVER RECEIVED THE PRODUCT SAMPLE, he changed his story to tell me that the company will follow up with the USPS, and if they can prove that the product was "MAILED" not even that it was received, I would be in trouble for lying.
I mentioned all the complaints on the web and told him that I was going to contact my state's Attorney General's Office. He said to go ahead, because it would cost me a lot more for a lawyer than it would to pay the $79.00. Dumb as a rock.
Thankfully all I paid was the shipping and handling for this product and the other one that was recommended to go along with this one. I never received that one either and can't remember their name even. No trouble from them, yet.
Has anyone else been able to resolve their problem with this screwed up Scam company that we all fell for?

Collections Notice
I am writing as are the other people who have been scammed by "My Ever Brite Smile".
I tried a FREE TRIAL after I had paid double what was advertised for the Shipping/Handling Fee. When I called the #, I was told by the Rep that there was no such offer, even though it was right in front of me on the computer screen. Right then I should have known, but alas I was naive.
So I paid the double S/H Fee and never received the product.
I called them and told them so, and requested that they cancel my '14 Day FREE(?) Trial'. They told me that they would cancel and sent me a confirming email. That was in February 2010. Months went by, I never did receive the Trial Sample. So thinking everything was OK, I, like a fool, deleted the Cancellation Confirmation Emails and threw away the papers with the persons names I had spoken to.
Now, yesterday, May 15, 2010, I have received a threatening letter saying that my Free Trial period is over and they have been trying to charge my Credit Card, but have been Declined, thankfully. However, the letter states that I owe them $139.95, as my Credit Card declined their several attempts to get the $$ from me, and I had no idea. Great Credit Card Company!
I am to call (866)728-1467 to resolve this issue OR "we will be forced to involve a 3rd party collections party which may have the ability to effect your credit report and score."
Funny how they are trying to get $139.95 from me and I NEVER received anything from them.
I plan on calling them tomorrow, May 17, 2010 to try to straighten this mess out, but I have little hope.
Is there anything that you can tell me to help me get them off my back, PLEASE?

false charges
This company is a joke. Ordered their product over 2 months ago. Never received the product and now just received a collection letter for $139.95. Talk about a scam. I will fight them to the end. I am sick and tired of getting scammed. The worst the economy the worst the scams. Don't order this product if you want the same results. No white teeth just kicked in the teeth. I will let you know how it goes. Shame on them.

bogus company - collection notice!?!
I ordered the trial product for only the cost of shipping and handling. The day after I ordered the product, my card stopped working. I suppose my bank was smarter than I and canceled the card, however, there was never any indication that the bank did this as I received no notice from them. I received the product and thought nothing more of it. I had never received a confirmation email from the company, nor was I aware of any trial periods/cancellation policies/subscription costs associated with trying this product. It just wasn't stated anywhere, and I always check for these things.

Anyway, about a month after I've received this trial product (which I still haven't used due to not having time to fit the mouthguards), I receive a collection notice in the mail. WTF? They (whomever they are) spare no expense in laying out specific terms and conditions that I agreed to when purchasing the "free trial." This was all news to me! All of a sudden I owe this company $139.95, an amount I have never seen before or was aware that I was entering into some kind of subscription for tooth whitener.

After reading others' experiences with this, I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB and keep this letter in case I need to find an attorney. Fortunately I was not charged anything else, and I'm guessing that this company is not really going to involve a 3rd party collections agency to wrangle money out of me that I don't really owe.

I would be more than happy to join a lawsuit against the company if circumstances fall out of all of our favor for any weird reason.

unautherized charge
they chared my credit card $149.95 for a membership that i never agreed to. now i had to cancell my card and get a new one but thats ok because now they cant charge me any more. any body else with the same problem should do the same thing.

Free Trial Scam
On Feb 25th I place order for "free" sample where Shipping and Handling were $3.87. The free trial was for 10 days. When I did not recieve my sample I called the phone number (which I got off my credit card because they never sent a confirmation e-mail). The office was closed on my 10th and 11th day (weekend). On Mondady March 8th I called and spoke to someone. I had noticed I had a pending transaction for $87.47 which was due to hit my card on the 9th. I was told "no problem we will cancel and reverse the charge" and I would receive an e-mail confirmation. I did not receive the e-mail so I called again on March 10th. I was told "sorry for the inconvenience we will cancel your order and reverse the charge for $87.47" I also indicated that I could not belive I was being charged full price when I sitll had not received my sample.

March 29th I call again - because like others I could not get through. I was told that my first call came in after my trial period expired (happened on Sat, no one answers phones - got through on Monday 2 days late - keep in mind NO SAMPLE received). I spoke to 4 separate people today and they finally said they would give me $20 credit or I could send back the sample for $45. Of course I never recieve the sample which they stated was sent out on the 11th - 5 days after my trial period expired.

This is a very big scam. I have been charged$91.34 and have received absolutely nothting. They placed me on hold for over an hour at a time. My total call lasted nearly 3 hours and I have nothing to show for it except irritation.
