There is an old saying I like. It goes "little boys try, big boys do." I felt like I was dealing with the little boys. I went to buy a Onkyo reciever at MDU. The price was great, and when I called they were very nice. Put it on my Gold card, and two days later it was at my door. So far so good. I excitedly open the package, but on inspection realize this item had been opened before. But the box was in great shape, so I opened it anyway. The unit was damaged. Not just a little, but really banged up on the faceplate. And the unit was dead. This was clearly a damaged return that was sent to me. No way did the damage happen on this trip. I called and they made me call UPS. After waiting a couple of days, UPS came and picked it up. A few days later, I called, and they said it was not there. Luckily, I tracked it by UPS, and they had recieved it the day before. All of the sudden, they turned elusive on me. They wouldn't return my calls, and acted like it was my fault. Hey, all I want is a receiver that works. So Mike said they'd send me a new one, but could not give me a tracking number. I kept calling, and they kept telling me a line, about how it was gonna be shipped from Florida, yadda, yadda. Finally I cancelled. And so
here I am buying again...nice guys, but if you want to sell over the net, you need just a little customer service. I bought it locally yesterday for 35 bucks more...should have done that in the first place.
