I purchased a cd for $1.14 on how to get goverment grants. There was no other mention of a $39 95 fee. This fee is now being taking from my checking ACCOUNT. I want this money back NOW! This is fraud.

Charged $39.95 to credit card for bogus membership. Initial offer for "free" CD and "trial" membership. No CD received and where was the trial? Demand full refund of $39.95 to credit card on file and no authorization of future charges.

THEY PROMISED ME A CD AND TOOK MONEY OFF MY ACCOUNT A PROMISE O 2.95 AND I CHECKED MY ACCOUN AND 39.95 WAS TAKEN SO IT COME TO 41.00 WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP IT BECAUSE THEY WILL DO IT AGAIN, AND THIS SO CALLED COMPANY WAS A PART OF A SURVEY AND NOW I WILL NEVER DO ANOTHER SURVEY AGAIN, BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT

Ordered a free cd authorized payment of 2.95 for shipping charges after submitting my credit card information I discovered this website is a scam and contacted my credit card company and was informed that once you have given your credit card information whatever entity is in possession of your number can receive an authorization code to charge your account at anytime.The credit card company for whatever ridiculous reason cannot prevent additional charges until they occur and then you must go through a dispute process which can often be time consuming and tie up the return of your funds for sometime only then will the credit card company deny futher transactions from that entity. However the problem then lies with the fact that having your credit card information available who is to stop them from shutting down one entity and begin another and another and submitting charges to your existing credit account over and over again? My personal solution to prevent any further charges going against my account was to simply request that my card be blocked and a new credit card and number be sent to me which may take 7 to 10 days to receive. In the future I shall be more careful to who I give my credit card information to!! Fortunately they only hit me for a lousy 2.95 yet I still feel victimized . I authorized a charge for $2.29 on Feb 18 2009 which is ok.
On Feb 24, 2009 they again charged my credit card for $39.95 which is not what I agreed to.
Someone else posted copies of the web pages where by misleading the the public they get to charge additional money. This is an obviously misleading scheme so that the person is made to think they are only paying $2.29!!!
How is it possible that this fraudulent behaviour can be legitemized by the credit card companies as being legitemate!
By doing a Google search for "mygransitenet" it is easily stablished that there are many, many more complaints of the same fraud!
Go to "www.complaintboard.com" and it is easily proven that this is a fraud and not just a single person making a mistake.
How can this be legal?
