Hello Complaint Board Users- Even though I was not using my Chase charge card, each month I would have a $129.98 bill, with a series of $29.99 charges being made to my card by companies I never heard of. I complained to Chase, and they even contacted me saying they felt that my account had been targeted by bogus merchants, and offered to set me up a new account to end the charging. And next statement these same charges magically transferred over to the new account! I asked Chase repeatedly for contact information on these companies, and they provided this for all but one, MYLEISURE, who they could never provide a complete phone number for, or even my supposed account number. I have tried to find them online, and get all dead ends. They seem to be a ghost who's only function is to make charges to people credit cards. I am out of work, having serious health/financial problems, and the only way I could detach these scum sucking leeches from my account was to cancel my credit card, which I have done. Problem is I need the card sometimes, and because of these creeps I don't have it now. I want people to be aware of these scammers, and to know that you don't have to authorize anything to be charged to death.
Last night I was told by one merchant rep I was able to run down (after 3 months of letters to Chase) that they got my credit card information from FaceBook, and when I was busy trying to make a few dollars doing surveys offered as a "job" by FaceBook (a total scam, too) It seems that all that was happening was that I was getting set myself up for charges for things I don't want, need or receive, such as the $59.95/month magazine service FaceBook somehow got me signed up for through Magazine Subscription Sevrvices out of Michigan. My son's school sells magazines, and I don't even buy from him, I did not ever authorize these charges, but I have fought them tooth and nail for motnhs to make the charges stop. Each time I ask the phone solicitor for the name and state of licensing of this magazine company, I usually get hung up on, Fortunately one kind rep took pity on me after I finally broke down sobbing, after having had more than I could handle for one day in being ripped off and having generally bad luck, so she says they are removing my name from the call list. We will see. But in the meantime, if anyone knows how to contact MyLeisure, could you pass the information along? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Sharon Thompson
