scam
Got an email from mylife.com stating "Hi <my name>, See who's searching for your name! Click to see who. I ended up joining then cancelling. My credit card has been hit 8 more times since then. I google search my name, my mylife profile with my city and age come up along with the mylife account name (derived from my gmail email account name. I feel ripped off and violated. Is there any legal action (class action) being taken?

fraud with my credit card
On 7/6/11 I tried to look up a friend, Sue E. Meiner from Mylife.com. After getting into the website, they said it would cost me $15.00 which stupid me signed up for. They said 8 people "were searching for me". Then they charged me over $200.00 because they said I signed up for 1 year. I DID NOT DO THAT!!! My bank acct. is now overdrawn in the amount of -295.00 because of them. There is also an offshoot of this company that charged me around $200.00 because they said I signed up for that too. I DID NOT DO THAT. I talked to "Deland" and he said he would refund me $184.45 and $171.45. This has not been done either. What can I do?

stolen info on minors
This website contacted me the same as everyone else, saying someone was searching for me. I did go to check it out but it was "free". Then, I discovered they not only had my info including email, full name, phone number, and DOB (everything anyone needed to steal my identity) but they also had this information on my minor children, hubby, in-laws, nephew, etc. They even have my childhood nic-name, something I haven't used in over 2 decades! When I tried getting them to remove the info, they informed me that it was. I checked and it was not removed. I sent them multiple requests and after over 2 months of fighting them, contacted the Better Business Bureau. The BBB did NOTHING but tell me there was nothing they could do bc I didnt respond to their questions, tho I had, repeatedly. I have been getting the run around about them for over a year! They need to be shut down!

Unable to log into my account after I paid the fee
Registered for a 3-month period, didn't realize they took the whole 3 month payments at once. But then later I tried to log back into my account and originally I didn't provide a login/password, was never asked of me, so I was unable to log in and requested them to send me my password, well it's been 24 hours and nothing in my email. Hope they enjoy my $23+! This website sucks! Everyone just needs to use Face Book!

Unauthorised debit to my account by Mylife.
Having received an email from Mylife I accessed their website which invited me to register for a free service which suggested that I would be able to follow up names of people looking to make contact with me. None of the names were of interest to me so I conducted no enquiries on the website, nor used it in any way. 3 or 4 days later I discovered a debit transaction on my account for £68.03 originated by Mylife. This amount was totally in excess of the amount of the $8.75 that I had authorised for the registration only. There were no indications that I would be debited a larger amount or that I had subscribed to further services. I have made attempts to contact Mylife but the website does not provide a 'Contact Us' type link. This is clearly a criminal scam. I would be very much welcome your looking into this matter and receiving your comments. Many thanks.

fraudlent website
This website aggregates information from other websites and invades your privacy by making it "available" to others. Really difficult to have information removed, and it's really just a scam to get your email address for the most part. If it comes up with a listing for someone and you "join" to see more, it makes you submit your email and then says you have to pay for more information. SCAM.

Deceptive Advertising
MyLife.com may not be doing anything illegal but they sure are walking a thin line and they are certainly not ethical. They will send you an email saying someone is looking for you only to inform you, after you register, that no one is actually looking for you. What a funny joke to play on someone! Also, be careful when you do register of being told someone is looking for you but pressing you to buy a whole year of service in advance. Guess what! After you purchase a year, no one is there again. What pranksters! Makes me want to fly to California, where their office is located, and show them how funny I can be.

billing practices
Wow, these guys really are something else. I requested a complete refund after noticing they took out $119.40 from my account when I only approved $9.99. I have contacted the Attorney General's office because this is terrible. When they told me they would not refund my money, I actually tried using it. The second I log in, they want more money. I couldn't even navigate 1 page without the 'pay more' pop-up.
I can't afford this type of thing, and I am very sure I am not alone.
