SCAM by MyLife.com
SCAM!!!I went onto MyLife.com as it was advertised on television as being able to locate a friend...FREE. Then this SavingsAce Membership pops up and I suspected that I needed to pay that amount to get onto MyLife.com. Not so. It is an entire scam and they get your credit card number and away they go. I have called them to cancel and the tell me that they cannot cancel because I will not be in the system for 5 days. Wrong. That just gives them time to get my money out of my credit card. Don't fall for this scam.

They made False claims
I saw a commercial of MyLife.com that said I could search who was searching me and said it was free in the commercial. I signed up then tried to see who "looked me up". The old bait and switch occurred... instead of "seeing who searched me for free", they directed me to a page that required me to pay $22/ month ($13/month if I signed up for 12 months). They are deceptive and companies built on deception probably have other problems too. The guy at the top is probably a scumbag and you probably can't expect much from MyLife.com. From listening to the complaints, there are unauthorized charges and virus like programs that grab people's entire address book and use it to spam others.

Subscriber hereby authorizes MyLife.com to charge the Subscriber's credit card (or other approved facility) provided to pay for the ongoing cost of subscription. Payment for the appropriate services will be made by automatic debit to the Subscriber's credit card (or other approved facility). Subscribers will be automatically renewed for a term equal to the original term upon expiration of the then-current term at a price equal to the current regular, nonpromotional price, and continually thereafter, unless the Subscriber terminates the subscription online in advance of the renewal date pursuant to the process set forth below. Subscriber acknowledges and agrees that the authorization to charge Subscriber's credit card for services shall automatically transfer to any successors or assigns of Service for substantially similar services at the same website. Subscriber may not assign or transfer his or her subscription to any other person or entity. Payment must be made by a major credit card accepted by MyLife.com (currently American Express, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover), check, money order, or PayPal. Cash will not be accepted. The billing period ends each month on the anniversary of your activation date ("Billing Date"). If MyLife.com does not receive payment from the credit card issuer or its agent, you agree to pay all amounts due upon demand by MyLife.com. Your card issuer agreement governs your use of your designated card in connection with the Service, and you must refer to that agreement and not this Agreement to determine your rights and liabilities as a cardholder.

Instead of charging my debit card the $8.00, it was charged approximately $107 for the year
I supposedly purchased 1 year of Mylife.com to look for friends from my past years, and for those looking for me. Everyone who was supposedly looking for me, I had never heard of, and instead of charging my debit card the $8.00, it was charged approximately $107 for the year. I called their 800 number and was told that I should have read the fine print. To make a long story short, I let the gentleman on the other end know that I was very displeased and not to charge my debit card. Doesn"t he continue trying to sell me a reduced rate membership. I had to tell him several times that I was not interested in any membership, and that I wanted a credit to my debit card for the full amount that I was charged, otherwise I was going to let the BBB Bureau and a lawyer know about this underhanded scheme. I"m waiting to see if my debit card will be credited in the next few weeks.

A year ago I wanted to find someone so I signed up on mylife. Well I found who I was looking for & then a few week's ago, a message in my inbox kept popping up that someone was searching for me. So I came back on & put in my username & password that I thought was used before. It wouldn't take any password I used. So I ask them to send me my forgotten password. I guess they couldn't find it, so they sent a new one to me. I tried using the new one & it still wouldn't work. I am so sick of the run around. Very pour site & CS. If I could login I would change my Usern. & passw. The person who was suppose to be searching for me was much younger then me, so I doubt if it was anyone that really knew me. If it was, he might have remembered me off a dating site, so I would care anyway. Yevonne

BUYER BEWARE of this site, It is worthless, Impossible to navagate, and just a waste of money and time.This site is just one of the many scams out there, they look good, until you pay, then you find out you paid for NOTHING., and there is no way in hell that you even think about a refund, people that steal are not honorable.BUYER BEWARE! MYLIFE.COM IS A RIP OFF!!

street names and family names
I was curious and submitted my name. When it opened a Federal offender had tried to access my account by putting in his bio info. What scares me is the city where I live and my family info is displayed. He has threatened my daughter's life and her married name is listed on my information. I had my name taken off but it is too late to stop him from seeing my daughter's info and what city she lives in. I'm scared to death now!!! I called the prison he is in and they told me the offenders can use email???? It was set up from a gmail account.

Just want to thank all of you for letting me know what a scam this was, I signed up and thought twice before entering my cc info thank goodness, I am disabled and have a small income each month that is attached to my cc so it would've really hurt me to lose all of my income through this scam, the small fee they say they are charging is affordable to almost anyone, so you think it might be worth it, thank you all so much for reporting I cant believe I almost got taken by them.
