I feel the need to tell our story and report these people to everyone that I possibly can to try and get them shut down forever! I don’t know why they aren’t already!

My daughter wanted a puppy, so we found a supposedly 10 week old female Maltipoo on the internet close to San Antonio for a reasonable price ($300 for a female). We live in North Dallas area so this was a 5 hour trek one way. We picked one out and put down a deposit of $150 that was non-refundable. We should’ve known and saw some of the signs but we were blinded by the love and happiness for our daughter to get her a puppy that she always wanted.

Listed below are some of the signs:
1) Put a deposit down that was non-refundable.
2) Sellers were hard to get a hold of and taking 8 or so hours to call back.
3) Seller’s house and car were in poor condition.
4) 2 adult white dogs outside in the 100+ heat without water and in horrible condition.
5) Inside the house was dirty and brought our puppy out from the back of the house.
6) Our puppy was dirty and had mats in her hair, they knew we were coming to pick her up, so if they cared for their puppies they would have bathed and brushed them.
7) Sellers said they gave the first Parvo vaccination as well as a dewormer to the dog, not a Vet.
8) Sellers made us sign but they did not sign the warranty.

The puppy was sick immediately in the car. She was vomiting and had diarrhea multiple times on the way home. She drank water but would not eat anything. She continued to have diarrhea and vomiting on Monday. We called the Lozano’s as directed by the warranty. They blamed the car trip and said the puppy ate Sunday morning and was fine. I made a Vet appointment for Monday night. She was worse. She was positive for the Parvo virus and it was a strong positive which means her Mother probably had the virus. The Vet said with the severity of the condition she wouldn’t make it and that she was already dying, so we elected to put her down so she wouldn’t suffer anymore, which resulted in a $226 bill. We had to throw away towels, crate, bleach the patio and grass to kill the virus because it can live for a year. If we were to get a new dog, we didn’t want to take any chances of that one getting sick. Our daughter was crushed and continues to be. We sent over the letter from the Vet stating the puppy was positive for Parvo Virus and how sick she was to the Lozano’s. They said they would give us our money back but we still haven’t seen it.

I started researching on-line Monday morning to see if I could find anything on the Lozano’s and boy did I find something and more! It is all over the web! Why didn’t we research and check them out before? We just wanted a dream to come true for our daughter and make her happy. We don’t think we will get our money back because we researched on-line and have found that these people have been selling sick puppies that end up dying 1-4 days from purchasing them. They have multiple websites and phone numbers. They were in San Antonio and moved to Castroville because the Humane Society would make surprise visits. They even confiscated 30 dogs and out of those 27 died! Then they moved out to Castroville. There are rated an “F” on the BBB. There are so many complaints on ripoff.com as well as a complaints board website and the list goes on. They told us that they only sell and breed Maltipoos but this is not the case. They sell other types of dogs. The Lozano’s will not share to anyone where they are getting the dogs from. I believe that there are two problem places that need to be shut down; the breeders as well as the Sellers (Lozano’s). I do not know for a fact but I believe the breeder is breeding sick dogs, because of the severity of the Parvo in the puppy we bought. The Vet said if the Mother didn’t have Parvo it would’ve protected her and it wouldn’t have been such a severe case. They are knowingly selling sick/dying puppies and making a profit on them. This is animal cruelty at its worst! Why haven’t they been completely shut down? Why aren’t they in jail for ripping people off as well as animal cruelty? Please beware of these people and websites.
