DESCRIPTION
Might you have an interest in a part-time resident manager position at the 2322 Haste Street apartment building? The building contains 18 apartments. The resident manager (RM) position offers a rent reduction and some compensation. The work to be performed is varied; however, the work primarily consists of periodic cleaning (e.g., laundry room, common area glass, disposing of litter and trash, keeping the building and its outside premises clean and tidy), assisting tenants with service requests, changing light bulbs, reporting problems to management, serving or posting notices, generating and posting announcements, enforcement of house rules, periodically facilitate vendor access to the building and apartments, changing or re-keying apartment door locks when a tenancy ends, assessment of service and repair issues and communicating the same to management.
The rent reduction would result in your rent lowering to $734 per month (based on the current rent level of $1, 100/month), and the averaged gross pay amount would be $360.10 per month (based on 6 hours of work per week at $13.85 per hour or $83.10 per week times 52 weeks per year divided by 12 months). Additional compensation is paid for approved extra work hours in excess of 26 hours per month (based on 6 hours of work per week times 52 weeks divided by 12 months).

LEASE TERMS
The resident manager position is a form of at-will employment; thus, either of us could call an end to the employment at anytime. If the at-will employment ceased and a lease agreement were in-place, your monthly rate would transition to $1, 100 per month for the remainder of the initial lease term.
The RM position requires that you reside on-site. The RM position would cease if you moved away from the Haste Street property (resident manager implies a building manager residing on-site).
If you are interested in the RM position, I would appreciate you providing me with an idea of what you think your daily schedule might look like once the school year begins. Please also let me know your thoughts as to why you might be a good fit for the RM position. I realize that the RM position is not a 24/7 job. On the same note, though, if you are often away from the property or strongly dislike performing cleaning work, this job is probably not for you.
