I don't want other people to get ripped off by this company
I purchased a 1994 Saturn SC2 from Napa Valley Automotive Consultants in July of 2007. Immediately upon getting the vehicle home, it became apparent there were issues mechanically and physically with the car. Molding on the drivers door broke loose and the car was hesitating and not running properly. Patrick Lewis, the owner of NVAC, assured me that his mechanic had thoroughly checked out the car and it was in excellent condition. I took the car to Saturn of Roseville and was told the car need a tune up and oil change, since the oil had not been changed in quite some time. I was quoted $600, so I decided to just pay the $110 diagnostic fee and take it to Firestone, since it would be cheaper for the tune up. During the tune up, Firestone found that the valve cover gasket was leaking and would have to be replaced. Also, they said it was clear the oil had not been changed in a very long time as it was "filthy". It cost me over $500 to have all the repairs done to bring the car back to working order. I called Patrick to dicuss the issue and he offered me $100, take it or leave it. I took it, but I still believe he is responsible for covering all the repairs. Since that time, the alternator in the car has gone out, the cruise control stopped working, etc. Obviously this car was never checked at all. Mostly, I don't want other people to get ripped off by this company.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Patrick never bothered to respond. If he wants to help me, he can reimburse me the $500 he owes me for repairs.
