Brought in a ford F-550 truck that had stop running on the interstate I-49. pulling a twenty foot equipment trailer with equipment. We had it towed in. When signing in the truck I explaned the problem to the manager of the service center . He said it sounded like the high pressure oil sencor was bad. I told him to check the coolant system because it looked like it was starting to run warm. I ask how long it would take to fix .he said no longer than two day. This was the determing factor I used to let them work on the truck because I needed it for work. I agreed to let them work on it because it seem like they knew what the problem was and could do it quick. Two days later I recieve a call from Natchitoues Ford saying the engine was dirty and about to go out, and that I need a new one. I ask what was all wrong with this one and he stated it has two hundred forty five thousand miles and it is not running. The next call I get is saying that the batteries, oil pump, oil sensor, fuel pump, injector pump and o-rings on the injectors all went out at the same time and the truck was running bad. This was a red flag . I have owned ford trucks and construction equipment all my life and I have NEVER heard of all these items going out all at once. Especially when I was just pulling a trailer with no problem at sixty five miles per hour. with my head lights on.Being stuck knowing I was getting screwed I told them to fix it because I need my work truck with my tools. Which was a problem because I was from out of town and working another seventy miles away. This went on for another week. Then I receive another call saying the water termostate was stuck and it would be an additonal two hundred dollars plus the orignal thirty two hundred dollars for the other charges. This is were I knew I was being scamed. I then told then to not do anymore to my truck . Fix what we agreed on and I will pick it up. After about three weeks I get a call saying my truck was ready. The next day I sent two workers to pick up the truck. It was in the yard with the fan and belt still off, the oil was not changed, smoking and missing really bad. The worst was they charged me for an oil change and when my worker checked the oil and the oil fillter were never changed, and the radiator had no water in it. I love ford trucks, but if this is the way it is I will consider selling my other six ford work trucks and finding better service.( also some tools were taken from my truck, a 3/4 drive electric inpact and all the sockets.)
