scam company prying on hard working women
I got a letter first from The National Association Of professional Women, they said I'd been excpeted and that there were no fees. I filled out the application and sent it back. Then I received a call and was aksed if they could interview me, after I told them what I was up to they assured me that I was excepted into the NAPW, and that I was elite and special, and then pursued to ask me about which charities I was interested in, this peeked my interest and I shared about how I'd like to make a difference in the world specifically with women cause, she said that this organization would help by connecting me with professional women. Then they brough up the prices, by then I was very excited and felt special, and selected. The prices were shockingly high and they said that the elite membership had special privileges and I would make a thousands of dollars back by the discounts from the partnerships like Geico and Airline discounts and they had seminars and podcasts etc. They said that I was getting a special elite membership for 698, then she tried to sell me a membership for half that price and said they’d give me the exact same membership. After research I learned that the membership goes down to 98 dollars and they all are the exact same memberships, there is no elite membership. I received a letter by email welcoming me into the organization and it didn’t say anything about having the elite special privileges membership, well that's obvious, because there is no difference between the memberships they offer you, except the price, so they can rack in as much dough as possible. This is not an organization to support and forward professional women or to provide community for professional women, this is an organization trying to make as much money as possible off the vulnerability off professional women's desire to see the fruits of their hard work recognized in the world. For any professional woman, I urge you to not associate yourself with NAPW. I urge you to protect your image, for this is not a real or elite organization in any matter, it is a scam. The company is owned by a guy named Mathew Proman, and I urge anyone who is considering or has already considered this organization to research him, and see for yourself.

Scam
I received an application in the mail for a free membership to this organization several months back. I checked their online webpage and from what I could tell they were legitamate. Then on 7/27 I got a call at work from a Dee Berandt telling me that she had a few more quetions to ask so that they could approve my membership and do a write up for their newsletter I answered her questions, she talked really fast and then out of no where started talking about levels of membership. The conversation happened very fast with her stating kinds of promises and services that the membership would provide. Every time I said I couldn't agree to the amount of money for the membership she talked fast and offered a lower option. I felt confused and bullied and since I was late for a meeting I stupidly agreed to the 189 membership assuming that I could cancel it if after researching it further if it ended up not providing all that they were promising or whatever. Unfortunately, this morning when I had time to research the company more I found out that they are known for lying to consumers about the services, not being reachable, not providing cancellations and refunds, and even being so impossible to reach that they end up charging renewal fees unless a person cancels the card that was provided to the company. I immediately called my credit card company to stop the charge but it had starting going through already so they said I would have to let it go through and then dispute it. I am going to start that process asap. Like others I tried to contact the person that sold me the membership at the number she gave and all day all I got was voice mail. I did not leave messages since it is obvious that they do not return calls. Also like others that I have seen on the BBB website I will be filing a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General's office. This company is taking advantage of women through bullying, lying, and misleading and then not providing the services they promise.

SCAM
NAPW is a scam! They have a partnership with the National Seminars Group but thats about it. If you want to put your money somewhere put it towards the National Seminars Groups STAR 12 program because thats all they are giving you, but at a higher price, the profit just goes straight to Matthew Proman the owner. The "account reps" all work on commission and obviously read off a script. No one is ever denied into membership so don't feel special, their objective is to keep you on the phone and get you to buy! They will go through an elite membership $700 to preferred $500, standard $289, intoductory $189 and a "trial" just so you don't miss out on the opportunity (because this is a one time only offer you know! ha) at $89. Dont fall into the trap, your just making this bozo richer than he already is. Join a real group with real networking and real benefits not this fake rip off organization!
