FRAUD - SCAM
i too am a victim of this Company. If you need help with repossessing a car i beg that you look elsewhere. when i contacted the company i was frantic trying to get a car back that i had cosigned for. their salesperson was very smooth he advised that there were no fees until the car was recovered and directed me to their assignment form. i neglected to read their disclosure which does not give you an out. i was told by their salesperson that once the car was recovered they would keep the personal items in exchange for the keys. i made several calls and posted on their website several times and no one would contact me. once i recovered the car myself i contact the company to let them know. at that point the owner wanted to speak to me after three weeks of me leaving messages and posting and getting no return calls. i refused to speak to him i saw no reason too. i was contacted by an attorney in Jan 09 Charles w Bassett demanding payment. i filed a complaint w AZ Attonrey General, BBB and Consumer Affairs. i was then contact by another attorney J. Mark Heldenbrands Director of Operations Jimmy Bracy by mail. i settled with them for the amount of 500 dollars at which time i requested a settlement letter. i was emailed a letter wihout a signature with Mr. Bracy's name on it. So i requested something with signature as the letter was not on any official letterhead was simply printed on the paper. Mr. Bracy became annoyed by the fact that i wanted something with a signature on it and informed me that they were not going to jump thru hoops for me. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF TROUBLE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND ANYONE THAT REPRESENTS THEM.

SCAM
NATIONAL RECOVERY NETWORK IS NOT A VALID COMPANY. REPO SERVICES OBTAINED FROM NRN FROM 100'S, IF NOT 1, 000S OF INDIVIDUALS. MORE THAN 75% OF SAID PEOPLE CLAIM, LIES, BREACH OF CONTRACT, SCAM, CONS, RACKETEERING, INPERSONATION OF PUBLIC AUTHORITY, ETC. VULNERABLE INDIVIDUALS SEEKING "HELP" TO AN ALREADY TRUAMATIC SITUATION, FALLENING VICTIM TO WHAT WILL BECOME AN UNBELIEVABLE, EXTREMELY WELL PLANNED, HIDDEN AGENDA, SPONSORED BY NATIONAL RECOVERY NETWORK.
Their are to many people who have the exact same story regarding National Recovery. Horrifying business tactics not only include lies, deceit & "smooth talkers", but go further to utilize Fraudulent collection agencies, i.e. Attorney James Mark Heldenbrand, to collect alleged monies on unprovided services, without proof, question or answer. Unethical business conduct, inpersonating authoritative personnel, threatening individuals, with fear, credit interuption, THE JUSTICE SYSTEM, especially the use of FEDERAL LAWS to frighten the parties involved. Not just for the repossessee, but for the repossessor too. In closure, the same individuals who went to National Recovery for services, became an unwilling victim. This pyramid of falsification, fraud, and deception WILL BE IN FEDERAL COURT.

Hidden Costs - overcharged
Was told by their VERY smooth talking saleman that the cost would be $500.00
And, that in rare instances there might be some minor incidental costs.
When they recovered the automobile I received an invoice for $1, 123.00
Dallas Co. impound fees (the local repo co. told me the car was not impounded)
Investigation fees (don't you skip trace and investigate all repos ?)
And, they threw in a document fee just to "pile it on"
I complained on deaf ears. These guys sit out in Arizona and sub out all the work to
local repo agencies who charge about $300 / car
They never return phone calls either. Ever.
Buyers beware.
There are plenty of local people who will do the same thing for a lot less money.

Scam charges
I beg anyone that is considering to have a car repossessed to please do yourself a favor and search elsewhere! From the time that I became a client to the end of this ridiculous experience, everything about this place is extremely unprofessional. First off they had told me that the charges for this service was $800. Wrong! They ended up sending me an invoice for about $2000. When I received that, I called them... relentlessly (since they would never call me back)... and eventually I spoke with Mr Rick St Marie (aka: the worst businessman ever)... and he knocked off about $400... whoo freakin whoo.
Their lack of communication was absurd, to say the least. Oh, and the worst thing of it all! I had spoke with my case worker, Tori, in regards to making the payment. She told me that I could send the money overnight and I would be able to pick up the car on Friday. A friend of mine in a different state was helping me on the payment so I had him overnight his share, and I did the same with mine... as instructed. Between the both of us we spent about $70 to send this payment to them so everything would run smoothly.
The next day I received a call from Tori saying that the payment was received and that she would be notifying the tow company, that had my car, that they had permission to release it. I happen to live in a different state than the car that I had repossessed, so I had a couple of my friends go pick the car up for me. They both had to work in the afternoon, and this day was the last day I could have it picked up before storage fees would accrue.
So they go to find this place, which was fifty miles away, find it... but are told that they haven't received a release form... so they're basically screwed. They called me about this, so I called up the National Recovery Network to see what was going on. I was told that the person I needed to talk to wasn't there and they would call me back later. 'Later' wasn't exactly an option, because the person I needed to talk to wouldn't be in for another 3 hours.
So I called back again, and demanded to speak to a manager. That's when Rick St Marie got on the phone. I started explaining my dilemma... and before I could finish he immediately started cussing me out... said he was the 'owner'... told me that I would get the car next week... and hung up on me! What?! So I called back, got his voicemail, threw around some choice words of my own, and threatened his reputation explicitly. I also had my attorney call too...so between all that I finally had the car released to my poor friends... that had been waiting for about five hours in BFE. I really hope this saves some other poor soul from making the same mistake as me...
