My Pan application status is “under process at NSDL” since November 2007. I have provided all required additional supporting documents as instructed by them from time to time. During end December 2007, one of their call center staff confirmed over the phone that all required documents are in file, and she does not know, why are they still holding the issuance of PAN card.

I made numerous inquires via fax, mail, e-Mail and telephone. I was unable to get a specific response, nor the situation is resolved yet. I faxed the Bank Account Statement to them three times. I have mailed the same to them. In addition, I have in their file my spouse’s data as proof of address, whose PAN is AGGPV0165R.

Please note, this is the third month my application is with NSDL. In a recent conversation with their Call Center Representative, she told me to send somebody there with Rs. 5,000 to the NSDL Office, Agents are available for this purpose, and you will get the PAN card in 24 hours.
