A collection agent by the Name of Mike (Michael) Gaylor called my employer and disclosed that he was calling to discuss a matter related to my employer business. When I got the call, he told me he was calling about a corporate account from a previous employer. When confronted about he lie that he had committed he tried to tell me it was all related.
I then tried to get his phone number and name, but before I could get it, he just hung up on me. I did manage to call back from the caller ID and got their phone number and address.
Can I file a suit against these people for calling my current employer and disclosing an account issue and lying to them that it had to do with my current employer? These people are the most stupid and unprofessional people I have heard of.
