Wow, I wish I'd seen all the complaints for Nationwide Home Warranty before we bought the plan--thank goodness I only a few more months to put up with their lies and lack of service.

We bought the policy in Feb. 2009. We had a claim for part of our A/C unit in May. We were denied and didn't argue, because it still works, but we are eventually going to haave to replace the part we needed ($1, 000).

7 weeks ago we filed a claim because our dishwasher quit. Finally, after a week, not the 24-48 hour promised for service, a repairman came out. He took 5 minutes and flipped a switch and said it was fixed. We ran the dishwasher 2 times before it quit again. This time it also leaked all over our floor. We called Nationwide again. They took 2 weeks to respond!! We also had been trying to contact the repairman, Bolton's Appliance and Repair out of Garland TX, but, of coarse, they wouldn't answer the phone and their voice mail was full! Finally, he came out and replaced the motor with a "rebuilt" motor and said it was fixed. The first time we use the dishwasher water leaked all over our floor and under the cabinets, warping our baseboards. There was even a freaking mushroom growing out the side of the bottom the unit!!! We immediately tried to contact Nationwide and Mr. Bolton. It took a week to here from Mr. Bolton. He told us he would have to order the part and he should have it in 1-3 days. A week later with no word from him or Nationwide, we call again. After 3 days Mr. Bolton finally called and said the part was backordered. We called Nationwide and they said the same. Now I wonder if the part is even still manufactured?? If Nationwide were a reputable, honest company, they would just replace the unit and be done.

I have a bad feeling we may never get our dishwasher fixed. I just hope and pray nothing else goes out before Feburary. I am going to write them now and keep a copy of my email, telling them not to renew our contract. I hope this works.
