We contracted with Nationwide in Dec of 2009. They have failed to modify our mortgage and we just received a letter with all our papers that we had faxed them that they are no longer in business. They took our money!!! Below is what the letter stated.
Unfortunately, and due to reasons beyond our control, Nationwide Loan Services Inc ., no longer has the ability to stay in business.
The primary reasons are twofold:
1. The lender's failure to respond to phone calls, written inquiries, and documentation for an extended period of time, and demanding re-submittals of previously approved files.
2. Client's failure to make scheduled payments to NLS, Inc. as per their agreement.
To those points all the company's financial resources have been exhausted forcing the business to close their doors. The rent demands, phone bills, payroll, etc. can no longer be met.
While we sincerely regret to inform you of this situation we would like to remind everyone that your paperwork has in fact been submitted and you could complete the process at this point by continuing to call your lender.
To be sure-we have worked hard and diligently on each and every file and it has always been our intention to complete the mod for you.
One of the websites that may prove beneficial for you is www.makinghomeaffordable.gov or you can visit the website of your particular lender or call your lender.
