Bad Policy
Being a Chiropractor in North Phoenix, my staff and I know how to give an awesome patient experience from the first to the last visit. My girlfriend and I just came back from an eye exam at Nationwide Vision, which they told us was only $49.99 each. When the exam was completed they said it was another $50.00 for the fitting of contact lenses, bringing the total to $99.99 each! They did not explain that charge over the phone. Sam’s club is only $69.00. They also said that they would not release the contact lens prescription unless we bought a box of contacts from their location. I called other eye doctors and they will give you your prescription to you without having to buy any product from them. Nationwide vision has bad policy in the fact that a trial pair of contact lenses are not part of the exam to try and find out if they fit right so the contact lens prescription can be finalized and released to the patient. The doctor did finalize my prescription even though I was never given a pair to even try out, but they refused to finalize my girlfriend’s prescription. They make you buy a whole box at their high prices and even pressure you into buying a whole years supply with the promise that you can get a mail in rebate for a portion of the cost back to you. The staff was rude in person and over the phone when we tried to rectify the situation, except for the physician. I would not recommend this place to anyone! Sam's club has a way better offer! I would never have my staff tell a prospective patient that my exams are half of what I charge and then after I do the services charge the patient double of what was quoted over the phone and say, "Well I gave you a complete physical exam instead of a half exam". That is just bad practice, shame on Nationwide Vision and the sales people trying to get an extra commission!
