Company tried to rip me off
I ordered Nature's Ease on July 6th and a man with a foreign accent representing Pure Nutrients called me on July 10th wanting to verify my address. After I verified my address, the man informed me the product was a free trial offer and I only had to pay 2.49 for shipping and handling and I would be recieving a 30 day supply. He also said if I am satisfied with the product and wanted to continue the program, it would cost $88. If I couldn't afford $88, the company would give me a 60% discount. If I am satisfied with the product but don't wish to continue with the program, the product will still be considered a free trial and I will still only have to pay 2.49 for s&h. He then asked how I will be paying the $2.49 s&h. I said I would be paying with a debit card and I already supplied that information when I applied on the website. He said oh, you went on line. Well, a lot of customers information didn't process through so I need you to give me that information. I told him I was not giving him my banking info over the phone. I asked him to give me the company name and I would verify the company with Better Business Bureau. He gave me an address based in NY and he was calling from CALIFORNIA!!! After hanging up with him I called the number that he called me from right back and he answered so I think he was calling me from his house. I asked him did he have my card information and he said no, we don't keep that on file which is weird because if you have a website advertising your product with an application as well, how is this company processing orders. I really began to have a bad feeling about this. Well, as soon as I finished talking to him, I called my bank and explained to them what happened and told them I believed my card had been compromised. I was informed that no charges had come through, yet. I requested my card to be canceled and to recieve a new card with a new number. I will be checking Monday to make sure no charges came through.
