Unauthorized Charges
This company is VERY UNDERHANDED. They bait and switch. They sell you on the idea that you are being given a FREE SAMPLE but you do not get the FREE SAMPLE until they bill you for a month's worth of retail product plus shippin. APPROXIMATELY $70.00. You have no recourse as you will get someone on the phone from sounds like India named Christian who has a script and can guve you no answers unless you just know the right question to ask. When I insisted he informed that on the 14th day of my trial they would bill me for the product. I told him I WANTED TO CANCEL THIS AND DO NOT BILL ME. He started to read from a different script and finally told me I could cancel but to hold on while he got me a confirmaton #. So far I have been holding for 2 hours and 16 minutes. They have no intention of cancelling this so Iassume I will have to file through my bank and The Better Business Bureau. I will contact them next after the bank but BEWARE...BEWARE...BEWARE. DO NOT FALL OR THIS SCAM

complaint
AMMENDMENT!! I recently submitted a complaint that indicated no where were the terms disclosed. I went back several times & finally found it at the bottom (just above the last paragraph). You have to click on "Terms of Offer". Please do this BEFORE you purchase to see you agree to those terms.

Fraud/Charged credit card

Scam
I ordered this product 2-17-09 and my credit card was billed the agreed amount of $4.95. I had no idea a monthly charge would appear on my credit card until I read the comments on this website. Today is 2-23-09 and I just called (800) 983-7968 to cancel the "membership". I was told my free trial period would end 3-4-09 and then I would be billed $85.91 per month. I did get a cancellation confirmation number and I hope "Cindy" did not lie when she indicated that my membership is now completely cancelled. THIS IS A SCAM! No where is it indicated that this a membership with a monthly fee before or after I placed my order. I also cancelled the Bromalite membership--however, it WAS disclosed in the confirmation e-mail. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

unable to contact to cancel
I just received a free trial of a product for which I never even finalized the order and now I can't find a way to cancel the order because the phone number provided on the invoice is for a pizza company.

14 DAY FREE TRIAL RIP OFF
NATURE'S ACAI 14 FREE TRIAL IS A SCAM!!! 14 days really is only 4!!!
It took them 10 days of the 14 day free trial for me to receive the product even though it also took them 6 days to charge my account. They claim they will ship the product 24 hours within the time you place the order. Instead they waited 6 days AFTER I placed the order to charge my account. So, you mean to tell me that they shipped the product prior to me paying for the postage? How does this make sense? When I called to cancel the "membership" they said I was already 3 days past the 14 day free trial...to simplify:
Feb 3rd: placed order, 14 day free trial begins
Feb 9th: (day 6 of 14) credit card charged $4.99/shipping
Feb 14th: (day 11 of 14) received product
Feb 17th: (day 14 of 14)unaware 14 day free trial ends
Feb 20th: (11 days after cc was charged, 6 days after receiving product) charged $79.96 for NEXT 30 day supply that I have NOT received and won't for 30 days AFTER the original order was shipped.
SCAM!!! They will not help you, the customer service reps are difficult to understand and keep repeating themselves over and over stating that I should have read the terms of offer. Clearly they are on a mission to NOT reimburse/satisfy their customers. I keep seeing the same 800# on all these posts along with apologizes from Nature's Acai representatives. they will not help you or satisfy your needs.
DO NOT fall for this scam unless you are willing to spend the additional $79.96 when the 14, actual 4, day free trial is up.

Unauthorized Charge
I woke up today to find an unauthorized charge of $79.96 on my account, per their customer service rep I was told that I had 15 days from the date of order to cancel order, problem is that I did not receive the product until 17 days after the order was placed. I was told by the CSR and Manager that there was nothing to be done due to the 15 day agreement. For all who want to send a letter to there Corporate Office, my intention is a class action law suite if possible---- Natures Acai---305 W Broadway #114---Ny NY 10013------Attention Megan March...Flood their office---contact States Attorneys office---refuse charges on your credit card...teach them they can not get away with this...if you want the product you can go to the vitiman section for $5.00 you will find it there...I LEARNED DID YOU???!!!--KIM- ILLINOIS

$79.96 charge way to soon.
They said that you have you have 14 days to call and cancel before you get charged. They charged my acount 8 days after order was confirmed. All I got on the phone was the run around. Very dishonest company. Don't ever trust them.

I am outraged how so many consumers are being scammed by what is obviously fraudulent behavior with all of thes acai berry diet companies. They are not only missleading that Dr. Oz, Dr. Perricone and Rachael Ray are backing their company, they are making charges on peoples accts with no authorization and have no contact # or email to follow-up. If you research terms and conditions either the page has been removed or it states no returns.
This is an obvious scam and the icing on the cake is that as your reading this look up to the googles ads above this and you'll find advertisement on how to order your free trial of Acai Berry. Now look to your left at how many complaints are pouring in about these so called "free trials". Welcome to the computer age. I hope someone out there can get to the bottom of what has to be illegal behavior and get rid of these scammers that are litterly coming out of the wood work.
