Stay away
My camel "leather" sofa is ruined. When trying to lightly go over an arm to remove surface dirt, the color lifted right off! Now I have a big whitish area about 6 in. by 9 in. on that arm!... As others had mentioned, I had seen some cracking for the past few years, and had noticed some fabric backing. I suspected that the arms were not real leather, but was willing to live with it. NOW I cannot as the POS thing is terrible looking with no way to fix! This sofa cannot be cleaned! I am going to look for my sales slip and start complaining. Sounds like I am not the first and will definitely not be the last. HORRIBLE QUALITY!!

Poor frame construction
We have owned a Natuzzi sectional sofa for 3.5 years and have had several broken frame components along the front and middle. The first time it broke, within one year of ownership, we had it repaired via the warranty. But recently realized that other parts of the frame have broken and so we removed the black covering underneath. After seeing how the frame was constructed I'm ashamed I didn't seek enough information before we made our purchase. The framing members are made from pine and particle board held together with glue and nails. NO SCREWS OR HARDWOOD are used in the construction of the frame. CHEAP! CHEAP! CHEAP! I'll never buy another one.

Scam
I have purchased a leather living room set by Natuzzi and after 11/2 years a back board is popping out on my sofa and also the leather is pealing, cracking and the color is coming off. The store I purchased it at doesnt want to take the blame for it nor does Natuzzi. The furniture was about 3400.00 and it was not cheap. I was told that I am getting the best out there. LOL ! What a scam ! If anyone has an idea how I can fight this and get it replaced or fixed, please let me know. I have been fighting with the store for the past three months.

Price fixing allegations
I am wondering if the recent fall in share price is due to the sudden departure of Cary Benson, (following so shortly after the departure of their CFO)? Or is it all related to the anti-trust activities reported recently to the UK Office of Fair Trading, the SEC and the US Dept of Justice?
My friend sent me the details from various consumer sites about this but you can check them out on google...just put 'natuzzi price fixing' in your google search
My friend suggested that Mr Benson jumped ship because he can see trouble coming and he knows the Board is in violation of the Ethics Statement published by Natuzzi, as well as SEC and UD DoJ rules and legislation regarding price-fixing.
My broker pointed out it all seems a bit coincidental, but he did tell me that the US has an extradition treaty with Italy, so any Italian Directors can be made to answer the charges in the US, and be fined and imprisoned in the US if found guilty. Lets hope they would get better treatment here than Ms Knox is currently receiving over there in Italy??

Price fixing rip off
CRESTA FURNITURE COMPLAINS TO OFFICE OF FAIR TRADING ABOUT PRICE FIXING OF NATUZZI FURNITURE
Retailer notifies competition watch-dog about “consumers being ripped-off”
Preston furniture retailer Cresta Furniture Limited has today complained to the Office of Fair Trading that consumers are paying artificially inflated prices for Natuzzi furniture because of unlawful price fixing arrangements operated in the United Kingdom by the Italian furniture manufacturer.
The Office of Fair Trading has been provided with evidence of how Natuzzi took steps to ensure that consumers could not obtain furniture at prices lower than those set by Natuzzi, including a secret recording of a meeting of distributors in Manchester on 9 April 2008 where Natuzzi sought agreement that consumers would not be offered Natuzzi furniture at prices less that the recommended retail price less 20%.
Cresta has also brought a claim against Natuzzi for unlawful price fixing as Natuzzi has tried to stop Cresta selling its furniture at prices lower than those set by Natuzzi. At a hearing in the High Court Mr Justice Briggs remarked to Cresta’s legal advisors “Take it as read that your materials have thus far persuaded me that it is an arguable case that they are trying to force you as a reluctant independent into a price fixing arrangement which they wish to have in place with all their UK distributors…..”
Cresta has distributed Natuzzi furniture for the last seventeen years. “We have always sought to provide our customers with what they want – high quality furniture at the best price” remarked Cresta spokesman Neil Stewart `We believe in the benefits of free competition, price fixing is unlawful, Cresta will not be party to ripping off customers`
The Office of Fair Trading has the power to investigate and fine any company engaging in unlawful price fixing. Consumers who have suffered loss as a result of unlawful price fixing may seek compensation for their loss. “Thousands of consumers may have paid thousands of pounds more than they needed to for the Natuzzi furniture that they have bought. We have asked the Office of Fair Trading to take immediate action to end unlawful price fixing by Natuzzi. Consumers must be protected” remarked Mr.Stewart.
Natuzzi SpA is Italy’s largest furniture manufacturer with a turnover of €660m. Cresta is an independent retailer based in Preston, Lancashire .Natuzzi sells its furniture through Harrods, Selfridges, House Of Fraser, Barker and Stonehouse, Natuzzi owned stores and various other independent retailers.

They don't deliver on time and deliver the wrong products
I have never had such a horrible experience with any company in over 15 years of buying furniture. Delivery has been delayed twice, which took over 6 months and then the order was wrong and reordered. I was told that the reorder would be expedited and instead of taking the 3 months that they told me, they are estimating it to be 5 months. I have never heard anything so ridiculous. I would never buy anything else from Natuzzi nor would I ever refer them to family or friends. In this economy I don't think they are getting a flood of orders that is causing the delay. When a company messes up one order and tries to fix it, I would think they would try their best to get it to the customer as soon as possible, but they have delayed it even more than if I would have place a new order with Natuzzi. It has been almost a year since I have placed my original order and I still have not received everything.

OVER PROMISED
I WAS SHOPPING IN BELLACH'S AND THE SON OF THE GENERAL MANAGER WAS HELPING ME AND HE LOOKED AS IF HE WAS HIGH ON HEROIN. I ASKED HIM IF HE WAS OKAY AND HE MISTOOK THE QUESTION AS IF I WAS HITTING ON HIM. HE THEN STOPPED ANSWERING MY FURNITURE QUESTIONS AND KEPT PURSUING A DATE WITH ME. HE WAS DRESSED VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND SMELLED OF TOBACCO. I WAS IN A YEAR OR SO BEFORE AND WAS HELPED BY A VERY PROFESSIONAL GENTLEMEN NAMED JEFFREY. HE WAS NO LONGER WITH THE COMPANY SO I WAS STUCK WITH MR. UNSMOOTH AND SMELLY. HAD THE SALESMAN JEFFREY STILL BEEN EMPLOYED I WOULD HAVE PROBABLY PURCHASED BUT I FOUND A WONDERFUL DEAL AT SD HOME IN THE SAME PARKING LOT AND I AM VERY PLEASED. BEING HARRASSED WHILE SHOPPING FOR FURNITURE IS NOT OKAY. I'M SURE IF HIS FATHER WAS NOT THE OWNER OR MANAGER HE WOULD PROBABLY NOT HAVE A JOB.
