Purchased a cell phone warranty. I lost my phone. I requested a replacement on the last day of my contract. (I waited a week to see if it would turn up in lost and found) after i filed a claim they stated my warranty was over and could not accept my claim. Then they finally accepted my claim and sent me a phone which they stated was "NEW" and tested. It was obviously used. After i got a sim card from ATT, i tested it and my voice was not heard by any people i called. I tried a different sim card and same problem. I concluded that I WAS SENT A DEFECTIVE PHONE. after a few emails i got an address to send the phone back. AFTER RETURNING THE PHONE AT MY EXPENSE, i get an email stating that the phone had "Your phone was received at our repair center with extensive Liquid Damage. We are now returning your phone unrepaired since your 30 days replacement warranty was voided due to liquid damage." I NEVER TOOK THE PHONE OUT OF THE ITS PACKAGING UNTIL I BROUGHT IT TO ATT. NEVER SUBJECTED THE PHONE TO ANY ABUSE, PERSPIRATION, WATER, RAIN OR CONDENSATION. this was phone was DEFECTIVE before it arrived at my door. I BELIEVE National Cellular Owners Association resigned on their obligation. They lied so they would have to replace a defective phone they were responsible for.
