I bought my NEC Versa E6300 in Singapore during at an IT show in March 2009. Now the cap of letter 'H' is detached (loose) from the keyboard. Initially I can fix it back to the latching mechanism by myself, but after a few times, the latch on the cap is broken. I detected this problem in early September and as I am moving to Australia, I did not contact them immediately. I did send an repair request by email in October when I was in Perth. I only called up them in Sydney in December to request a repair. They told me I need to change the whole keyboard and the keyboard is not under standard warranty. I need to pay everything (labour and parts) which cost around AU$200+.
I don't think this is fair, as this is not a damage due to spillage or whatsoever. This is absolutely a manufacturer's fault. You can discuss with me in details if you are interested to know.
