We employed builders to come and renovate my London flat from the North-East...they had previously one some work for people we knew and seemed ok. The head guy, Stephen Hughes, came down to look at the place and give me an estimate. We commenced work on 15th december 2008 at his insistence to get the place quickly so they could start.

It needed a lot of work doing, including re-wiring. We were paying on account in installments to help him along. However, they never did what I asked them to do and nothing has been finished (not even a kitchen or bathroom). They walked out last week after I refused to give them anymore money unless they finished something (having already received 55k, and us having bought the majority of the equipment in the original budget on top).

I had a new builder round to look at the work to see what he could do to finish off, and they have done nothing correctly.-Even the rewiring is faulty! There is no plumbing in the kitchen and bathroom, the plumbing that is there is incorrect for the size of the flat-we put new radiaotrs and a new bathroom, the underfloor heating has the incorrect pipe, they haven't used fire resistant plaster-board in the kitchen, or water-resistant in the bathrooms. The false ceilings which were put up throughout which were supposed to be soundproofed and they have used the wrong insulation. On top of that, my brand new wooden floor which they decided to lay, -incorrectly obviously- now has to be ripped up to fit the new plumbing. Everthing I questioned while they were doing the job was explained away as the right thing. It's only now that I find out they idn't have a clue what they were doing. I have to start from scratch again.

Do not use this company...even for the smallest job.
