agreed to pay $2.95 for shipping of "free" info cd on grants.
read every word on website free offer and no mention of any
automatic sign up or billing to a club membership or automatic
assumption of product buy.
I gave no authorization for anything except to be billed $2.95
for "free" info. (which I hadn't even opened until today when I
saw 3 withdrawals from my bank account.
I went online to review my bank account and realized 2
companies were submitting charges on my debit that I had
not authorized-companies that I had not heard of.
I called the free offer of info company to see if they were
connected to my "free" info.
They admitted yes but assured me it was a valuable service
that I should consider and that they just assumed I wanted
their services as I hadn't called to cancel them.
I explained that If I wanted their services I would order them
and in what world can anyone bill you for something just
because they want to.
It's lunacy that I have to call and cancel something that I haven't
ordered or authorized and at this time do not want.
I had not got around to opening and looking at my "free" info.
These companies probably make a fortune off of taking avantage
of people and I hope that will change in the future. They slipped
$70.00 out of my account in less than 2 weeks time.
