I recently bought a pair of mr1225's and within a month of very light wear (no running) the blue plastic began peeling off from the rear sole area in 4 different areas. I returned them to Athletes Foot, where they rang NB and was told they would need to send them to NB for assessment, taking at least 2 weeks for a verdict as to whether they would refund my money or not.
I was told by Athletes Foot that they thought I may be at fault because they thought I had been using the front of one shoe to push the sole of the other to take the shoes off. I assured them I hadn't and that I had been taking very good care of the shoes, as seen by no tread wear or other marks on them.
Basically, I am at the mercy of NB and their decision making policy, and if they don't refund, I'm down AU$240. Also, I have no shoes for who knows how long. I don't think this is right.
What happened to "the customer is always right"?
