Never recieved products after spending over £2000
On the 16th August 2009 a friend and I went to the London New ID studios for a gift experience day, photo shoot. The photo shoot was fine but after we were taken into a small room with the salesman who was extremely rude and very pushy. We felt very rushed into decisions, and were not allowed time to discuss things on our own. After we had chosen our photos & frames we parted with a total of £2, 560 on the day via credit and debit card, as we were promised by the salesman that we would receive our photos on a disk within 3 weeks as he had stamped our order as urgent. It took 4 weeks until we got the disks through. We then had to call the frame people to let them know which photos we wanted to be put in our frames and were told by customer services, as our order was marked as urgent we would receive the frames within the following 2 to 3 weeks. It has now been 4 months since the day of our photo shoot and we are yet to receive any frames. I have sent letters and have been phoning every week, only for my letters to be completely ignored with no written response what so ever and the customer service line is appalling! I am kept on hold for ages only to be fobbed off with unacceptable excuses by the uncaring customer care team, with not so much as an apology. After giving up with contacting the Studios I contacted Trading Standards for legal advice and was told that they have breached the contract of the 1982 Supply Of Goods & Service Act and I should expect a partial refund of our money. I looked on Google for other reviews of this company and wished I had done so before hand as we were clearly not the only victims of this scam, as pages and pages of complaints came up under their name. After parting with such a large amount of money you expect an outstanding service and this has not been the case, it has been a nightmare and cost us even more time and money chasing them up for products we are yet to receive but are still suffering the cost of.
