Two unauthorized charges for $49.95 appeared on our two most current monthly AT&T local phone service bills. We were never informed of these charges prior to their appearance on our bills nor were we notified of what the charges were for (what the service was paying for and why). We were never given the option to confirm or deny the charges, they simply appeared as "NEW LINK NETWORK, LLC-EFAX SVC MTHLY FEE, " whatever EFAX might mean. This company seems to target businesses using deceptive telemarketing techniques to obtain their company information and use this information to adjust company phone bills to their benefit. This practice should be illegal, as we were charged for two months worth of fake "service" before we even realized what was going on. We were able to contact our phone service provider and track down and contact the New Link Network corporate headquarters. Pending receipt of our next bill, we expect to receive credits for the two monthly service charges. Clearly, this scam relies upon the oblivious and/or timid who do not review their monthly charges or pursue matters when charges seem not to match what they should be. This is not a way to do business and we discourage anyone who reads this from purchasing service of any kind from this company, New Link Network.
