transfer/portability since 12/1/10 and no progress
On December 1, 2010 I went to the section 8 office on Fordham Road Bronx New York to submit all the necessary documents for a portability to another state, at this time the representative at the call center stated to me it will take anywhere between 6-8 weeks to be processed and I'll be able to move. On December 16, 2010 I had gotten assualted in my own buliding by a neighbor that also lives in the building, a arrest had been made and I was referred to victims services through the Manhattan District's Attorney's office and they gave me letters for a expedited transfer/portability and also stated to me that the paperwork should speed the process up to help me move out of the danger that me and my family are enduring. At this date which is 6/7/11, I call the call center every two-three days and I get the same answer every time( that the portabilty is on the desk of the supervisor awaiting approval) and it's been sitting there since 5/14/2011 and there isn't nothing being done to speed the process along to assure me and my four children. The answer I received along with (its still pending approval), is the work load is over back logged, not enough man power to do the work.. Please get back in contact with me with some help to help me and my family move. Thank You In Advance

Leak from upstairs Bathroom
There have been several leaks from the apartment above mine for the past several years. Recently there has been at least one leak per day and I have knocked upstairs resulting in either the tenant ignoring the knocks, or them denying that the leak is coming from their above apartment. The emergency number given is an absolute joke 718-707-7771 as the operator either takes years to answer the phone and if they do the problem is given a ticket. Usually no one ever comes to check out the problem and if they do they arrive without giving proper notice ahead of time. I am trying at all cost to avoid confrontation as I feel if I run into the tenant they will be greeted with a punch to the mouth. But rather than doing this I would rather find an alternative way of remedying the problem. Is there another way to complain about a neighbor who is neglecting to acknowledge that the leak is coming from their apartment so that the problem can be resolved without confrontation.

Proctection & Need a Ramp
I am filing complaint of the following reasoning: The Maintainances Door Glass is always be broke, by the tenant, whom live in the building, Second, I am disappoint that the tenant of the New York City Housing Authority, I do not think about the Tenant, they care for about themselves. Because, some tenant in the building, that is in a wheelchair, they do not have a ramp, for them. Not is that, the elevator is other problems, To much trash inside the elevator and pissed in the floor. I am not puting anyone, put them down. But, not the maintainances person, who or whom keep the building clean. They're one more the security of the areas, at night. But, they were expect, the New York City Housing Authority, that the New York City Police Department will be there and never be there.
