Rude and Unprofessional

I just tried calling their number - I got hung up on twice and the third time I was sworn at and then hung up on.

Apparently the person answering their phone was eating and did not want to be disturbed. I only found this out after my husband called back. He got yelled at and hung up on as well.

If you have a toll free number for your business expect that people are going to call it.

Other options they could have used to handle incoming calls when they are busy -

1. have an answering machine/service
2. politely ask the customer to hold
3. take a number and call the customer back

The above could likely be found in the Service 101 manual.

Rude

After calling for a quote and getting hung up on - AND, all I had said was, I was looking for a quote from CT to NY for my boss - and he said no, goodbye.
I had emailed the company to make a complaint. In return the company said to me - "FU". Here are the emails. And yes he had ended in calling me stupid. This is the way NY is being represented - pretty pathetic.

Forget it - don't bother calling - not interested.

Just wanted an email address to let you know how rude your people are
working for you. I called 800-447-1955 - first time, I was hung up on -
and then I tried calling back, a man answered very rudely - I asked if I
may get a quote - he said where - I answered from CT to NY City (as I
am planning an all day trip for my boss and 10 other people) - he said
"no, goodbye" - and then hung up on me.
Very rude - don't know how you stay in business this way.
