Fraudulent Charges
The so called secure site at Newegg.com is not so secure. I was hit with a fraudulent charge from this site on 7/12. When I called to inquire When I called to inquire about it, "their computer was not working well". They could not find what I had allegedly purchased. They were able to find my name and personal information but were not able to locate the purchases. In short they told me they could not help me to go to the police and file a police report, and to go to my bank and file a fraudulent charge claim.
End result, newegg’s is not too secure so its BUYER BE WARE.

Unauthorized Wihdrawal
I have a credit card with new egg called the "bill me later" card or "preferred customer" card. the promotion they offered with this card was 6 mo's no interest no payments. the first payment was due in june.

Back in March they withdrew 2097.00 from my checking account. When they did this, I called them and said I never authorized this charge, and they reversed the charge a week later. within that week I was charged almost 300.00 for a few overdraft fees because that unauthorized charge put my account in the red. I had a few automatic payments set up and they withdrew.

After calling them and telling them about the fees, they said they'd have a manager call me back. A week later, and after several calls back they said to be patient and that someone would get in touch. After this week of waiting, they happened to charge me again for the full amount of my balance, 2097.00. At this point I called my bank back and had them put a block on the company. At that point I racked up a total of almost 500.00 in overdraft fees, along with the 2097.00 they took, and did NOT refund this time.

After talking with my bank for a few hours, someone said they understood and agreed with me that what they did was illegal and sent them a fax saying they needed to refund the orig amount along with the bank fees. After almost a month of repeated calling, and getting NO ONE to cooperate with me or call me back I finally decided to try an ATM dispute with my bank until I got it situated as I needed to pay rent and bills and was almost kicked out of my place because of this charge.

Well, here I am and its now June. No refund what so ever from this place and I just got done talking with them and was told for about the hundreth time, SOMEONE would call me back. i doubt they will.

Does anyone know what I can do about this? How do I even go about filing a law suit against a credit card company? would it be possible to get damages if i get kicked out of my place and because my credit score is now almost 100 points lower than it was because of other things I haven't been able to pay like my cell phone and power company now that im close to 3k in debt over this?

I will never order from them, and have already told the large office I work for to never purchase from them
I have never and will never order from this site. I had someone use my Visa/Debit card to make a purchase with them. Very long story short is: I find the fraudulant charge and gather my own info to determine where the item was being shipped to. I notify the not so friendly or helpful customer service to advise them to stop the shipment because the purchase was a theft. They do this which only helps them out (I know, very nice of me to alert them). But when I try to get the info as to what was the purchase for totaling over $170.00, they tell me they can't give me any information because I don't have the thief's e-mail and password. So I ask them, "so it's ok that someone uses MY credit card, with My name, and MY phone number to make a purchase, and they can call you to get info about this transaction but I can't?" I was told yes, because it's their Newegg account...go figure.

Anyway, I have the police detective call them because two people in customer service tell me that the detective can get the info...but when the detective calls, they tell them they can't give it out and they will have the fraud dept. call them. Well so far no call from fraud (not surprising).

So...here is what I have learned. If anyone makes a purchase with Newegg using stolen identity/credit card...let the thief have the item, file the fraud form with your bank and let Newegg eat the cost of the loss...Sorry I ever stopped the shipment for them. I will never order from them, and have already told the large office I work for to never purchase from them. Their customer service stinks!!!

Honoring their web advertising
I purchased a Keurig Special Ed. Brewer W/ 18 K Cup samples for $129.95 as stated on their web site. When I received my order there were only 12 samples not the 18 samples stated. I looked on line to verify, they were offering the same brewer for less and giving a free gift w/purchase. I emailed them and asked for the same deal and the missing K-cups. They responded with that was the deal now but not when I purchased mine and they did not even mention the mistake I pointed out about missing samples. I responded with this question: How do you deal with the error of what was noted on the web site at the time I purchased the product and what I received? They no longer responded. I will not purchase from them again

Fraudulent transaction, no help whatsoever!!!!
Yesterday 1/18/11, there was an unauthorized transaction for $135.99 on our business checking a/c. I called and only info I could get, was that item/s had not shipped out yet and that it was going to a 'Military Base', location and no other information would be disclosed to us, even though they are talking to us, the a/c for which they were paid!! They refused to offer any help, except to tell us file a police report and have the AUTHORITIES CONTACT THEM, they won't even accept us calling with the case no#!!! They know very well, the authorities do not contact them except give us a case#, and apart of already taking our money, they would have shipped out the products to the 'thieves' on the other end, but off course 'NEWEGG' are just as dishonest, they just want $$, whether authorized or stolen. I have filed a police report, filed a affidavit with our bank, and what typically happens is, we will be credited, 'NewEgg', still gets paid and the bank will take the loss. Reading all the other complaints online, they DO NOT DESERVE anyone's business and hard earned $$.

Terrible customer service
I have spent thousands of dollars with Newegg.com in the past and have always had good service. After reviewing this site - I can see there customer service has gone down hill big time.

I recently ordered some memory for a laptop on January 3rd. It is now the 11th and I still don't have the memory. I contacted customer service via online chat. The first customer service representative I got could care less and only told me that they downgraded their shipping service a year ago and I would just have to wait. No apology nothing. I then asked to speak to a supervisor. He was even worse. I told him I would not do business with them any longer and he could care less. He told me I would have to wait a few more days and contact them back again if I still didn't have it. What?!!! Two weeks to ship memory from TN to IA? You have to be kidding!

I will dispute it with my credit card company and I will never do business with them again.

It continues to amaze me how a Company like this are willing to lose good customers when it would have been so simple to rectify the situation. I guess there is no good customer service anymore!

Shame on you Newegg!

Shipping Pirces
I am tired of the HIGH shipping charges to those of us with APO/FPO AP/AE address. When will Newegg learn that this is a United States mailing address and the United States Postal Service does not charge more to mail items to these addresses. Wal-Mart has finally learned and we finally do not get ripped off by them. Amazon has also learned and we are no longer getting ripped off. I was looking to buy a item that Amazon has for $59.55 and free shipping. Same item Newegg list for $69.99 plus $10.38 shipping. Easy choice no more Newegg for me I'm tired after almost 10 years on and off paying outrageous shipping charges.

Gift Certificate
On dec13th 2010 Newegg.com had a gift certificate promotional ending 11:59:59pm dec 13th pst. stating if you purchase $500 or more in merchandise you will receive a gift card of $100 via email by Dec24th 2010. I placed an order exceeding $1000. I had to modify the order with the assist of a Newegg customer rep. In doing so I had to cancel the previous order and submit a new order. Knowing the terms of service of the promotional I asked the customer rep if I still qualified for the $100 gift card. I was told yes. I never received the gift card and contacted and spoke with customer representatives every day for over a week. Each day I was told that my second order is still good for the gift card. Finally after the 24th and today the 29th I got a new response. Newegg said that the promotional ended at 1:00pm. My original order was placed at 12:42pm and the revised order was placed at 1:15pm. They said that my first order qualified but since I revised and placed the second order after 1:00pm I was no longer eligible for the gift card. Now this is just not right. Nowhere on the site did it state the promotion was over, all of the reps told me my second order qualified. Funny how they say the order you canceled qualified for the promotional but the order you purchased did not. This seems borderline fraudulent to me. I mean this is so not right.

failure to ship an order
I placed an order for a laser printer. I received an order confirmation. One week later, I received an email telling me the order had been canceled because my Visa card was declined. That has NEVER happened me, so I contacted newegg by email. Their rep could not find out why the card was declined, and she told me to contact my bank for the reason. I did so, and my bank said NO transaction with newegg was declined. Newegg refuses to complete the order. They insist that I have to re-order the item, at the current price which is $70 more than it was when I ordered. I will NEVER purchase from newegg. After years of buying online, this is my first negative experience!

Horrendous customer service and incompetent business
I ordered an expensive software from newegg in the 1st week of december and after 11 days had not received it nor do they have any shipping information about my item. On the 11th day I sent an email to customer shipping to file a lost shipment and they told me to wait for a few more days. Keep in mind that when I ordered, they clearly said that I should receive it in 4-7 days. So I waited and emailed them again, and this time someone told me to wait till the end of the day and then file a claim (which I already did). The customer service contact process is really painful as well where I have to manually type in all the required info, e.g. my name, email, address etc. which they should be able to pull up from my account and order# (compared to amazon.com, where you just click on your order and you have a bunch of actions you can take on it, e.g. RMA, return, damage etc.). They told me to wait again. I needed to have this by a certain date for a holiday gift and asked them to refund my money so I can buy it locally, but they refused to do it. I asked them to at least give me some information of when I can receive it and they say that their shipment method using DHL global doesn't always have shipment info, so they cannot provide me with any, just told me to wait. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't received a refund or my item.

I've ordered thousands of dollars of items from newegg since they first opened in 2001 and i'm appalled by their service. I don't know if they will return my money, I am still contacting them. I may have to file a credit card dispute. But needless to say, this has been a hassle and waste of many hours dealing with newegg and their horrible service. I would NOT RECOMMEND newegg to anyone anymore.
