I read an article by Julie Miller on this website. The subject was an "AcaiPure" pill that made her lose 25lbs in 4 weeks. There was a diary of her 4 week results but today when I went back to the website to get info to log a complaint they were advertising the MaquiBerry Lean. It was the same Julie Miller with the same exact story and diary entries form the "AcaiPure" pill. So this reaffirmed my belief that this is a scam. I called the company because after I read about only a 4 sentence terms and conditions I had a few more questions. When I was going to order I entered a promo code and it said I would be given a 30 day supply for about $2.94. When I read the agreement it said that after 14 days if you liked the product do nothing and you would be charged about $57.95 and then they would enroll you in a monthly plan where you would get another 30 day suplly for about $57.95 plus $4.95 for shipping and handling. I would not have known that bit of info had I not looked at the terms and conditions. I thought a "trial offer" was just that. I would be given the 30 day supply for under $3.00 and that was it. So that is why I called the company. First I spoke to a person who said she was a supervisor and her name was Heather. When I started asking questions she immediately became rude. She said "you need to look in the dictionary for the defination of trial offer". She was so disrespectful and rude I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said she was at the top so then I asked for the owners or Presidents phone number and she refused to even give a name she said "you will have to do that research by yourself" then I said you are kidding right and then she said "no it is public information and we don't give that info out". I said I was going to report her to the better Business Bureau and 20/20, 60 Minutes etc.. she started yelling at me so I hung up the phone. I made the decision to call back a few minutes later and try to get someone who might answer my questions and give me the information I was requesting. A person named Ryan answered the phone he said the exact same thing and then Heather got on the phone and started yelling at me again. I did report the company to 20/20 and a few TV stations to see if they would do a report on the scam they are doing to millions of people. I tried to call back today just to see what would happen and I was not surprised when the guy who answered the phone did not give me his name and stated that a person from this number had made several harassing calls to them last night. I told him my phone keeps a record of how many times and for how long I talk to a certain number. He hung up the phone...no surprize to me. I hope some TV shows will expose the scam they have going.
