So many complaints have been filed, it is a shame I was suckered into the very same scam. I too found out early however and cancelled my credit card to avoid their charges. I have written letters to the Attorney General's Office in Oklahoma City [where these scam artists are located] as well as the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org). I also filed a complaint on RipoffReport.com and saw the Attny Gen. investigated this company (LOL-they received the same auto shipment and were charged $149.95 too!). Copied from RRpt.com: "... as of Jan. 9, 2008 [the Attny.General] filed a lawsuit against Pure Energy Labs, Inc. of Okla. City, OK. and three of it's executives, Darrin Clanton, Brian Forrester, and Chris Wilson. The AG filed a petition for permanent injunction against the company for ' The consumers alledgedly defrauded by Pure Energy [who]thought they were signing up for a free sample for $4.95 shipping and handling, instead, they were automatically enrolled..for $149.95'. (Those of us scammed by these VERMIN know the drill). The AG's office is seeking a permanent injunction to enjoin the company and it's agents from engaging in future fraudulent conduct. The state is also asking the court to assess a civil penalty of up to $10.000.00 per violation, order restitution for the consumers harmed by the company and require Pure Energy to pay the state's investigative and attorney fees...Anyone with information regarding suspected fraud or scams can contact the AG's consumer protection hotline at (405) 521-2029'. The letter states that the Ok. AG's office received 115 complaints regarding the above-I know I was one of them!-it states that monetary loss claimed by these consumers is in excess of $13, 000.00'." WRITE LETTERS PEOPLE! IF U DO NOTHING, NOTHING WILL BE DONE!
