Incompetence
Next Rx is contracted by my health insurance company (Anthem Blue Cross) to provide mail-order drugs. The Next Rx phone system and their website are both completely impenetrable. Prescription requests take multiple contacts, refills are almost impossible to get done. These guys are a complete joke, avoid them if at all possible.

Gross Incompetence
I have never dealt with such a group of incompetents in my life. I mailed them a prescription on 10/17. After 2 or 3 calls, on or about 11/3, I was under the impression they had been straightened out with regard to their confusion and they would fill the prescription. Because my credit card had not been charged for the amount of the prescription, I called on 11/10 to check the status and discovered nothing had been done. I was told the prescription would be filled immediately. The following day, 11/11, I spoke to them again and discovered nothing had been done. I was told the prescription would be filled that day. The following day there was a charge to my credit card for the amount of the prescription. The rational man would assume the credit card would be charged when the drugs are shipped. Next RX has their own approach.
Just to check again, I called on 11/17 and discovered the prescription had not been filled. We went through the same routine again. I was told the prescription would again be filled immediately. My credit card was charged a second time for the amount of the prescription on 11/17. On 11/20, I was called by Next RX and told the medication was not available. It will be on back order until 12/15. At that time I asked that the two charges to my credit card be reversed. I was told they would be reversed. On 11/23 one of the charges to the credit card was reversed. I called on 11/24 and after 30 minutes on the phone was told the second charge to my credit card would be reversed. Today is 11/24. We will see how that one goes.

Based on my experience, if you do not have prescription coverage, it would be less time consuming if you drove from Atlanta to Canada, had your prescription filled and then drove back to Atlanta. If you do have prescription coverage just use someone else.
I wonder how many people have died because they relied on Wellpoint Next RX to fill their prescriptions?
