This is my second run in with this company. Unfortunately for me, I vowed never to buy from them after they screwed up the first time but hey, I'm a forgiving person, or, at least I was.
Mistake #1. This past winter I ordered a kids Chicago Blackhawks jersey, which according to their website, was in stock. After I placed the order, I learned this item was on backorder and that I would have to wait about 5 weeks to receive it. This was upsetting to me as the jersey was to be a Chritsmas present. Anyhow, 5 weeks passes by and I receive a package from the NHL Shop. I open the bag to reveal that they had sent the the wrong jersey. This one was white and the one I had ordered was red. I immediately contacted the customer service (which is a process in itself) and explained the situation. They said they I would have to send the package back to them (shipping NOT covered by them) and they would replace it. The kicker is that I would then be placed to the back of the line and have to wait ANOTHER 5 weeks to receive the item I had originally ordered. Not only was this not helpful, buit customer service was extremely poor and unprofessional. I immediately cancelled the order.
Two days ago I ordered a Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Champions Hat (if you couldnt tell, we're hawks fans... go HAWKS!) According to their site, the hat I wanted was in stock and available for shipment within 2-3 days. Well, I received an email this morning saying the item was backordered and not available for immediate shipment. If this is the case, why not update the website accordingly? My belief is that this unethical company want everyone to believe they have all of these items in stock so theyll place the order. If you knew your item was going to be shipped in 5 weeks, you'd likely look elsewhere.
In my opinion, this is a very poorly run company with poor customer service. If I were you, I'd look for your hockey garb elsewhere...
