Follow up to earlier complaint
As a follow up to my above referenced unhappiness with Nissan of McKinney, I have to say that since they became aware of my level of unsatisfaction, they have really gone above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied. I have been contacted numerous times by the service manager and the owner. To be honest with you, I would delete the post if I could figure out how. But, all in all, I feel they have met my expectations and appreciate them rising to the level of customer service that I think we, as consumers, deserve. So...I applaud you! Thank you, I guess you get to keep this customer after all.

Fraudulent Service
I took my 2005 Pathfinder to Nissan of McKinney to replace both catalytic converters and the vent control valve. It had the check engine light on and would not pass inspection until these were taken care of. After paying $2879.89 for this service, I drove home. The next day (Sunday) the check engine light comes back on. My husband looks under the vehicle and the catalytic converters are old and rusted. They have not been replaced, and definitely not by new parts (which I paid $1500 just in parts). I might also mention that they put an inspection sticker on my vehicle. So, how did it pass inspection? THIS IS FRAUD!!! AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS DEALERSHIP HAS NOT BEEN HONEST WITH US! In case you are wondering...I bought this vehicle from this dealership. You would think they would stand behind their customers...but no! just check the other unhappy customers who have posted online complaints! I have also filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and am considering calling my attorney. I don't appreciate being taken advantage of in this manner.

Fraudulant Warranty
I bought a truck from them in 2004 and purchased a 100k service warranty. When my truck started having issues I took it in for repairs and was told warranty expired at 80k miles. I paid for the repairs out of pocket but later found my warranty info showing a 100k warranty. I took this to Nissan of McKinney and the owner (Chris Godwin ([email protected]) told me they would not reimburse me the cost my repairs because I didn't get my truck repaired at a Nissan service dept. I told him that this was unacceptable customer service and he told me "don't lecture me about customer service until you have a business as successful as mine". All I could do is laugh at him at that point. What's funny is I met him a long time ago at a customer appreciation dinner and my wife remarked that he looked like your typical cheesy car salesman - and he did: short, prematurely balding, overdressed (rhinestone cuff links - wow, impressive), douche baggy sense of self importance, short, and very, very cheesy. I would say he looked like a Fry's Electronics employee but that would be an insult to Fry's employees. This guy is a real douche bag. Ask to meet the owner there and see for yourself. If you're reading this thinking this sounds like sour grapes, you're 100% right. I bought two cars from this dealership and to be basically be told f off from a sleazy little guy like Chris Godwin over a $479 mistake they made, it does not sit well with me.

Unethical Service dept
Nissan of McKinney's Service dept. made false repair claims amounting to over $8000. They told me my 2003 Murano's transmission was shot and my differential was in terrible need of repair. When I took my car back to them when NMC extended the transmission warranty. They said I had to have my transfer case repaired for $2000 to get my transmission replaced under warranty. My differential seemed to have repaired itself. I test drove my Murano with the service manager P.J. Neher and sure enough the transmission and transfer case were making a terrible grinding noise. I had never heard those noises before. They told me my Murano was unsafe to drive now.

I had my Murano towed to a new Dealership Service Dept. The next day I was informed my transmission, transfer case, differential were all in good shape. This is the worst case of service fraud I have ever experienced. I’m probably just one of thousands that have been lie too and attempted to be ripped off by these thieves masquerading as Service Technicians. Something needs to be done to protect the consumer. I believe Nissan of McKinney's service department's integrity is abominable.

Fraud business practices!
I just wanted to tell someone about Nissan of Mckinney. I went into the dealership to look for a Nissan Quest but the ones that I test drove did not meet my personal standards. They had a 2007 Nissan Quest with 21,000 miles on it and price it at 26,900, which while doing my research I noticed that other dealers were selling them for 21,000 or so, so anyways when I confronted them about the price they basically just ignored me and put to the side. So anyways they showed me a a 2006 Pontiac Montana with 27,000 miles, nice van. I test drove it and liked it and went in to negotiate the price. The Finance Manager Mitch wrote down 1000 down 545 a month, I thought it was a good deal so I signed by it. They proceeded with making copies of my drivers licenses and insurance and had me sign a few pieces of paper. I had to leave but was to return the next day. I called the next day and asked was everything okay, I talked to Mitch again and he stated that everything looked good and for me to pick up my van. So I went in and they told me to go to the finance department and the guy there said Ms. Gray we got you approved but we will need a extra 1500 to make the deal. I was like what are you serious, far from the 1000 down. So needless to say I got up, went and found my keys and drove home. And still to this day, no-one has contacted me at all to find out what they could do to help or anything, I ended up complaining to the Customer Support Manager. Also from other witnesses they tend to put you in a car and then three or so days later they inform you that your loan didn't go through. So beware of Nissan of McKinney.
