mechanical problems galore
We own a 2005 Nissan X-Terra... got it in 2007 with 4, 100 miles for, I think $20, 300. when it was all added in, of course prior to financing!!! we purchased an extra service agreement for another $2, 000. As I am writing this, i am getting more and more upset...I'm sorry. From day one we started hearing knocking noises and sli pping when we accelerated so we decided to bring it to a dealer near us. The dealer always had a quick response "owner complains of...checked vehicle and found no...' Low and behold we kept pressing and at the beginning of the year, thank God just before the S/A expired, found the differential and the transmission shot...It was not an easy feat to get this covered because the S/a was with the original dealer...Toyota Universe not Nissan, something we got socked into by the salesman...another mistake...well it worked out b/c they paid over $9, 000 for the repairs. but now we have more problems...we.went to get the vehicle inspected and was rejected and given a code, no one told us how to find out what the code was, but eventually we search the net and found answers a 'fuel sensor" remembered the MAACO commercial and went there to get it fixed. They said no problem and took our car in for a check up. Two hrs later we heard that there are several things wrong with our car, the sensor issue is now a huge problem even involving gear shaft and 4x4 tank...or whatever is called. my husband is right I always have women questions and he thinks mechanics take advantage of that...i don't know if that is a true statement of all mechanics. :) well here we are looking at a $3, 000 estimate for much damages to this p of s car!!! Any grounds for complaints, it class action?? What can we do? thanks

Used car sale
Bought what we thought a fully serviced used car. "WRONG" The car had a dead battery that died a week after the sale, parts missing on the roof luggage rack, they only replaced two of the four tires (2 months later we had to replace the other two). Radiator was low on fluid, car had NO gas in it, was given one key to the car (they refused to cut another one). Car was due a 30, 000 mile service (They REFUSED to do that). They sold us a warranty but yet appears all they did was washed it sprayed some good smelling stuff inside and stuck it on the front lot. Complained to Corporate that did get Sutherlin to pay for the battery and wrecker fee. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!

Scammers
1/22/11 my wife purchased a 2010 Nissan Sentra pre owned with 5530 miles from Route 22 Nissan Hillsaide NJ. Its finance price was $12, 200 and the cash price was about $3000 more. The dealership pushed for us to finance the car with a lower price which we did. When we close the deal with the finance manager(Nuno Ferreira) he said that my wife’s credit was excellent and he could give an extended warranty if she signed for the loan of 1.9% for 60 months. We did agree but did not ask or authorize any other addition to the car. My wife asked Nuno for a breakdown of the bill and he said it would be mailed to us by Nissan financial corp.
Almost 1 month later we received a bill with a total payoff of $18, 790.36. We were in shock because we expected it to be around $14, 000 since we put down $1000 up front. We had a meeting on 2/24/11 with the salesman(Ronald Villatoro) and finance manager(Nuno Ferreira). At the dealership we asked to see a breakdown of the bill, which of course they tried to act surprised that we didn’t have a copy. After reviewing the copy we realize they charged us for $700 for GAP insurance, $2000 for extended warranty that we thought were included and VIN etching for $2647, and we never knew we purchased them.
During the meeting with Nuno, he agreed to remove the gap insurance and the extended warranty, but could not do anything with the etching because it was already on the car. We went back there on 2/28/11 to meet with Mark Frank the manager to see if there was anything he could do. I was told Howard Newman would call us the next day 3/1/11 because he is the only one that could make the decision. Until this day Howard Newman never called us and when we called the dealership Mark Frank said the dealership decided to not to refund.
Upon further investigation we also think the odometer may have been tampered with because the disclosure shows 5530 and a Car Fax shows 11, 659 from previous owner. We also heard that the window etching could have been done when the car was purchased by the previous owner.

Not honoring extended warranty
I bought a Nissan pathfinder with an extended warranty. My engine needs to be replaced per the dealer due to sludge. I have records on this vehicle for the two years I have owned it. My claim was submitted two months ago, I was passed through over 8 agents in two months to handle this case. The customer service was horrible. I was told that my claim has been denied due to sludge and them not being able to determine when the sludge built up. Since I have records for the past two years they can not guarantee the condition on the vehicle when I bought it, even though they were the ones who sold it to me. I was told by regional office that this is a risk the buyer takes with buying a used vehicle. I bought from a dealer AND an extended warranty. All in all, Nissan refuses to honor the warranty and my truck is still is sitting unrepaired.

Cannor resolve pinging
My 2005 Nissan 4cyl manual Frontier pings ( spark knock) at low gear. The dealership in Spartanburg, SC said timing is done at the factory and cannot be adjusted at the dealershoip. Their adviceis that the only thing I can do is use Shell Premium gas. Itried this but it still pings. Someone on line said I need to replace a PCV filter, which I can't even locate.I used Berryman B12, Lucas Oil Upper but it still pings. How much is this damaging the engine? Are there spark plugs on this car, so I can replace them right now?

Undercarriage Rust on 2003 Vehicle
I have a 2003 Nissan Murano that I have maintained it like I should. I have been repairing many issues that have been happening over the past 2 years and now a major repair has happened that I am very upset about. The total carriage that holds the motor has rusted out so bad that it has caused the ball joints to go and the tires that I just purchased last year have to be replaced. When I went to Nissan about it, they said they would give me 10% off of the part that is already an escalated price which I found out because I took it to another body shop that is chargingme 1/2 the cost to repair it but yet it is still going to be possibly 3000.00 to repair. I don't have the luxury of just purchasing a new car so I have to find a way to fix it. How many more things will happen to this car now? I feel that this car should have lasted much longer than it has without these problems so far. I will never buy a Nissan again if you want to have a car for more than 4 years. It is just not right.

Did not send the car title. Car paid off
For 5 years I received a statement every month. I paid this monthly payment on time each month without hesitation. This loan was paid in full on December 2010. I have as of this date not recived the title. I spoke with a rep. from your company who was not very nice or helpful. I find it very unfair and fustratiing that I be treated so unfair. The Rep. was very rude. I am requesting that I be sent the title to the 2006 nissan altima. Please forward the car title.

engine
I bought a Nissan Pathfinder 2005 and an extended warranty. After two years my oil pressure light came on. I was towed to the dealer, who told me that I needed a new engine due to sludge. I have maintainance records for the two years I have owned this truck. My claim was denied based on lack of records prior to my owning the vehicle and not being able to tell when the sludge built up, although the prior owner was in fact Nissan themselves. I waited two months for Nissan to answer the claim as I was passed from agent to agent. Customer service was horrible and my claim denial was final even though I have paid for an extended warranty.
