Unable to fix Nissan2.4 DC hard-body
I have complaint about this problem before. The shutter on my vehicle since new has not been resolved after several attempts to fix it. Nissan worked on the car about a month ago and now have added an extra problem on take off. Now with the shutter on pull off there is a knockdelay when you release the clutch with the shutter still present. Nissan have phoned me and told me they don't know what the next step is but they are talking to the dealer which is Nissan Midrand- service manager Najeep. I have not heard from the dealer or Nissan SA and it looks like i am being ignored at the moment. I don't think Nissan have an answer to this problem, but i am sitting with a car that have been stripped, repaired and the problem is not getting any better. Daleen is the service coordinator at Nissan Roslyn 012 529-5622 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 012 529-5622 end_of_the_skype_highlighting. What next? This is my 3rd Nissan DC and my last Nissan vehicle!

Poor Quality and Horrid Customer Support
Nissan does not stand behind their products. We purchased a NEW 2005 Nissan Xterra SE in May 2006 for my wife. Upon taking delivery and driving home the low tire pressure warning light came on. I returned the vehicle that evening to the dealership and was told by the service manager that the tire pressure was low because of the altitude in Colorado Springs. They aired the tire and the following morning the tire was flat. Guess that was a lot of altitude. Called the dealership and they stated they did not have any tires in stock, and that it would be 5-7 business days before they got one and that I should put my spare on. I found a tire at a tire store 3 blocks from the dealership and told them they needed to do better than 5-7 days.

Approximately 6 months after the purchase my wife started to complain about a strong sulfur smell when the car was at idle. We took it back to the dealership and they told her that it was the result of the agents in the fuel in Colorado, and that she should try another gas station. My wife is not a brand loyalist, and had been purchasing her fuel at whatever station was convenient. To appease the dealership she began purchasing her fuel at a local Shell, but the issue persisted. Again the dealership stated it was the fuel and there was nothing they could do about it.

Several months later the lower tire pressure warning began to go off again. She took it to the dealership, and they told her that there was a nail in the tread and the hole could not be repaired, but they could order us a new tire, at our expense, and have it the next day. Took the vehicle to the same tire store I mentioned previously and surprisingly they were able to repair the damage. Tire lasted another 15000 miles.

The latest adventure with the Nissan dealership was in May of 2010, during a scheduled maintenance visit. While there I asked them to look at a paint peeling issue on the roof. Initially the service manager stated that it looked like a paint defect, but later recanted his position and stated it was a result of rock chips. I inquired as to how rock chips ended up on the roof rain gutters and he became agitated. The vehicle had been in our possession for four years almost to the day, and I was told that paint is only covered for one year and that repair costs would be my responsibility. After the service managers insistence that it was not Nissan’s responsibility I contacted the Nissan Consumer Affairs division to attempt to get the issue resolved. Three weeks of playing phone tag with the representative, and I was again told that the damage was the result of rock chips, and that Nissan would do nothing to correct the issue.

My wife and I are now on a personal crusade to dissuade anyone from buying a Nissan product, and the roof of our 4 year old vehicle is beginning to rust. I can only hope it rusts through before the lapse of the 5 year warranty.
Buyers Beware!

NEW 2010 LEMON
Bought a new 2010 Nissan Rouge. after 400 mile start experiencing the following:
1-Engine misfires, stumbles and lacks power when accelerate.
2- Sounding like a squeak from inside the cabin
3- Car constantly swerve to the side

dealer assumed it's a transmission's problem and changed but same problem still exist. with 2000 miles on a car now warranty doesn't protect me.

Paint Peeling
I own a 2005 Nissan Altima that is still under warranty. I have the white pearl and the paint is peeling off on both sides of the hood. I went to the dealership where I bought the car and the most expensive extended warranty & they were no help. Called corporate & they had a regional manager contact me & he said that they could not help me. I feel like I was ripped off & cheated by Nissan.
I have been told that in the 80's they went from lead paint to waterbase because of the enviromentalist. Obviously the waterbase is not working as well. It's just really disappointing when you work hard for something & it only lasts for 4.95 years especially how much money it cost. If anyone has any answers about my complaint to respond to this forum.

They are liars and crooks. They took me blinded.
I recently bought a new vehicle from Nissan 112 in Medford. The salesman did what he did best and screwed me big time. I turned in a 2006 Nissan 350Z 2 months early and Nissan told me they would take over 2 full payments. Come to find out after the fact I only had 1 payment remaining and they didn't even pay it. I received a certified letter that I had to pay this and excess wear and tear on my old vehicle. Come to find out after I bought the vehicle the NMAC does not accept 350zs in there pull ahead program. Well Nissan 112, so they say they will pay the 1 payment after I spoke with them they actually included those 2 payments in my bill of sale. They are crooks and if I can give anyone advise its to look at your sale very clearly and know what your signing. I have bought 3 cars from them and I tell you its the last. If I can make any difference at all by influencing you to go to another dealer than paybacks a b!T@*.

Dirty Dealer
This dealer happens to have spent the last 20 years dumping rubbish into the river behind his dealership and burning parts of cars. Seriously you can walk in this river and find any car replacment you will ever need - including gears -air filters, car carpets, exhaust pipes, drive shafts - and thats just what Ive pulled out so far :/

The pictures not the best but trust me - its an car park in river and on the banks- literally.

Sadly the Irish EPA cant do much about it as he has stopped in the last few years but he wont clean up the mess he has made so far.

False statement
You should avoid Bob Rohrman Auto group. They are in the market to rip the consumer off. With hidden and over charges. I went to their Arlington Nissan and was over charged for the County tax which I live in. Showed them the page from the state web site showing the tax rate for Lake County, IL. They just tossed it away. I was in the auto businesses for over 20 years and never saw one that ripped customers off like they do. Yet on their web site Bob Rohrman himself States "Customer is the most important person". False statement !

Switched my CD/Stereo
I had looked at and test drove a Nissan. I looked at the car a couple of times. The gentleman called me and said they needed to move some vehicles, being the end of the month. He said they would give me the $500 stereo and wanted to make me an offer. We made the offer of which included the stereo. He said because it was such a great deal, it had to be done that night. At this point it was alittle after 8 pm. I got there to sign the papers and he said ole, the cd in the radio was broke and ordered a new one of which it would take three days to get. I didn't think much about it. When I got the radio, it was not the same one, but a much cheaper model. I called him immediately and he denied it. I can't prove it, I didn't take any pictures or anything, but I do have a witness that saw the radio when we test drove it. It had an ipod hookup, and the round button lit up. This radio had neither. I don't think they should get away with this sort of thing.

Outstanding Experience
I had a great experience at Nemet Motors. I found that other Dealerships didn't treat me the same at Nemet and that the service was outstanding. I would buy future cars at Nemet and would refer my friends/family to the dealer too.

Nissan Altima Problems
I have a 2007 Altima that was purchased new and have had several major issues with it. At less than 100 miles, the clutch broke while entering a highway causing the transmission to lock up and forcing me to coast to the shoulder. Dealer determined that both the clutch and transmission were shot and replaced under warranty. Car was out of service for about 1 week. At about 23, 000 miles, the brake and traction control warning lights started coming on intermittently. Dealer states that the master cylinder is shot and needs to be replaced. Part is on back order with Nissan with no ETA of when it will be available. The dealer and Nissan have stated that the car is safe to drive.

Less minor issues, but still annoying are the bluetooth and cruise control. About 50% of the time that I use the bluetooth, the caller says my voice is garbled and very hard to understand. Nissan does not have a fix and basically denies that there's an issue. When using the crusie control, the car often pulsates doing downhill at just about any speed. It makes it very annoying to cruise at 65mph and have the car pulsate on a decline. Nissan states this is normal.

Needless to say, this is my first and last Nissan ever.
