Job seekers beware...heads up, there are people trying to steel from unemploied americans who are already in too deep and need work.

I have been actively searching for a job after getting laid off in February. I received this (supposed reply to my email) email today.

answering the phone, scheduling meetings, and running company errands in a company car. When running errands you will be provided with a company credit card.

We have had some bad experiences with a prior employee, so before we
can schedule an interview, we need you to get a credit check. We
prefer you use www.seeyourcredit.net to obtain this information. When you submit your information they will send you your credit score.
When you email me your credit score, we can schedule an interview.
Please do not email me your credit report, as this may have private
information in it. Just send me your credit score. If you have a low
credit score, that will not prevent you from having an interview with
us, as we just need to make sure you are dependable.

We have full and part time positions available. Send me your schedule and how many hours per week you plan on working. Looking forward to your response!

This was my reply:
Hi Christel,

Can you please tell me the company that your with? I have sent out many resumes and you didn't specify what the position is or any particular information stating what company your with.

In your email you didn't state who or where your contacting me from. I do know what my credit score is, but until I am filling out an application for employment and in an interview with you, I do not feel comfortable giving you that information. I am sure that you can understand.

There are many people out there scamming other desperate unemployed workers and I do not want to be blind to that type of situation. I have worked on the internet for a long time and if it sounds fishy then it probably is.

I have several referral letters from many past employers a great working history and awesome references. I would hope that would prove my dedication to my past employers and also future ones.
