Overcharges
I heard their commercials on the radio and read their company profile. They sounded like a very helpful compassionate company. I signed on but my credit cards were maxed out so they offered financing at 15% interest. My health started to deteriorate and my expenses for medical and lost time from work made the program difficult to stay with. I dropped out because I could no longer afford it and at my age cannot continue to work as hard to fund the program. I have already lost my home. I'm overwhelmed with medical bills. Now I have their collection agency calling everyday wanting several thousand dollars for 4 months of automated billing to my creditors. They are far from the compassionate and caring people that I read in their company profile.

SSSLLLLOOOOWWWW Refund
Though it seems to be a legitimate the process is smooth. I thought 10K was high we sealed the deal. This was on a Saturday evening. We notified them by registered mail that we elected to cancell within 3 buisness days. they tried to toalk us into staying but we told them we want to cancel. 30 days later still nothing but some reassuring emails. NMM informed us that UTAH law states all refunds of this nature MUST be made in less than 30 days.
This is bullshit and I would recommend keeping their distance.
I will keep you all posted.

With a Grain of Salt
It’s time we as Americans bind together and start trying to help our neighbor.

I thought I needed to take a min and make a post on this website. I have been involved with No More Mortgage (www.nomoremortgage.com) for many years now and they have helped me and my family significantly. Do I know what they do? Yes. Could I do what they do for myself? NO WAY…

Now I have read several of the posts on this board, and I would hope that individuals looking to get out of debt and are looking at using NMM would take the time to do more research on their company then browse one or two places on the internet.

Please consider my input as someone that has been dealing with this company for years, and take some of these negative posts that are from people in highly emotional states with a grain of salt.
Take a min and ask yourself these questions;

Is a company that has been in business for almost 13 years going to do some of the stuff you read on this site? Are they really going to jeopardize the company and risk being shut down? 13 years is a stable company.
After helping thousands of people are you are going to get a few disgruntled customers? YES

I have personally researched Larry Ruff and NMM and believe him to be a man of integrity as he finds time to donate to different charitable organizations while running a company that is helping thousands get out of debt. He is truly a man that helps his neighbor.

Breaking and Entering Fraud Forgery
If you want to know what kind of businessman Larry Ruff is, contact the 4th District Court in Orem Utah at 97 East Center Street 84057.

Ask to review the file on case number 090202365 filed against his company this year. Mr. Ruff is a deluded scammer and so is his company No More Mortgage. This company scams money from their clients and refuses to pay their employees, and there is no low to which this man will sink.

I first has contact with this company when I located a job posting on the Utah Division of Workforce Services website for a contract programmer. I went into this company only to later learn their previous programmer had quit after Ruff refused to pay him for over two months. Needless to say, the programmer quit. I took the position and started work. After working there for over a month, and submitting invoices, Ruff said he did not have the money to pay my bills and said he needed a loan to pay them. This is after I worked on his CRM system and observed the company floating $60K or more a week in cash flow through their system.

Ruff then demanded I write him a post dated check for $3, 000.00 in order to get paid until he could secure the loan to pay my invoices, and he wanted me to pay back the moneys he paid against my invoices after he secured the loan. He offered to lease 3 offices to me for $800.00 month for one of my businesses. I asked for a lease agreement prior to accepting. He never provided one. Months later I contacted the building owner, Modus Link, and they informed me he had no authority to sub-lease space based upon his lease agreement. The leasing company later disapproved his loan application due to seriously delinquent credit. I demanded to be paid at this point and also demanded the post dated check back. He claimed he 'lost' the check and refused to return it until after I issued a stop payment on it and took him to Court.

While I worked there it was an almost daily occurrence for the Sheriff or constable to come by with eviction or court papers serving him to appear in court for non-payment of rent, non-payment of creditors, and non-payment of his people. After four months of late payments, and invoices stacking up, I suspended the account since he was always 60 days or more behind on his invoices. I worked 40-60 hours every week on custom programming for this company, and their business practices were sleazy and dishonest. They asked me to create an online system for contract signatures for their clients then they would change the contract language AFTER THE CLIENTS SIGNED THE NOTES AND CONTRACT almost every other week based upon whomever they could scam to buy their paper they floated to their clients. Needless to say, I refused to alter the code to enable this, so Ruff would have one of his cronies (Dennis L.) go into the system and alter the notes and the terms in the notes whenever they pleased.

These people would get customers credit cards and charge them over and over again, even without the customers permission, then refuse to return the monies and claim the online contracts allowed them to do this.

After I suspended their account for non-payment for past due invoices on May 6, 2009, they almost immediately posted another job offer on the Utah DWS website and tried to scam another idiot to work for them for free. Ruff then used a master key to ILLEGALLY ENTER MY RENTED OFFICE SPACE ransacked and searched the office, and attempted to seize the work I had placed a contractor lien on for non-payment.

He then refused to pay any of the invoices. I sued him. He called and whined like a whipped cur after he was served with the lawsuit since I notified the Court of what he had done. He never paid the full amount and I settled the suit for pennies on the dollar since I knew Ruff would just weasel out of paying the same way he had managed to evade his other creditors. I did however, make him sign a release agreement as part of the lawsuit releasing his claims and contract with me so at least I could publicly respond, since I knew he would start a libel campaign and badmouth me all over town the moment I left, which he did.

This guy is a deluded silver haired scammer. While I cannot say all of the people there are like him, both he and his companions in crime who broke into my office are the lowest of the low. I believe that the programs they offer can help people, but Ruff is a scammer and a liar, and if he gets your credit card info, he will charge it over and over again, and alter any online agreements you sign to let him get away with it. If you try to sue him, he will libel you to your wife and anyone else he can get hold of.

I would avoid this company at all costs, and I am filing a complaint with the Utah DWS to bar them from posting job offers on the Utah Job site since they won't pay you if you get hired and screw you like they screw their customers.

Beware.

Shady Company
The simple plan that the company put together does seem like it will work, it is however, not something that one should drop $6, 500.00 on. They told us to put it on our credit card and not to worry that would be paid off in a couple of months. We like fools did what they asked us to do. Months later we came to find out our mortgage was being paid on the wrong day (they in turn accused us of not making our payment for the month prior, a payment I have the receipt for) as well as accruing late charges on another credit card due on the 4th but being paid by their affiliate on the 17th (yes they have another company do all the work). When we called to ask what was going on they said we need to review our whole plan again three months after we began. I was under the assumption we were going to do it right the first time not have to go back every couple of months. Then I asked NMM exactly what we paid them all that money for. They claimed some financial toolkit sessions, which we were contacted once about and not followed up on and their online rebates program in which we received $14.00 back after doing our X-Mas shopping. We addressed our concerns to customer service who up and down apologized for not helping us with what we paid for and used the excuse that the company was restructuring and had a hard time keeping up. We immediately asked for our money back since we did not feel that we were important as a customer to the company and had several emails and bills to back us up on our beliefs. We were directed to a man named Doug Rosborough who sent us an email with the following statement.

“I would like to discuss these items and see how we can help make things better. No business can long exist if its middle name is Santa Claus and it hands out refunds nearly a year after sign-up and after hours of time invested. I honestly do not see a breach of contract from our side. I see many and consistent attempts to help. There might have been a misunderstanding at the inception of the plan. Is that reason to get up from this seat in the theater and walk out?”

Santa Claus???? Are you kidding me we are talking serious business and for first impressions my husband and I were offended by that. We want some help and clarification. We did not need a sales pitch. We already heard the sales pitch when we were duped into their program. We had a conversation with this guys in which he then apologized up and down for that comment (he brought it up not us) and for calling almost 20 min. after the time we had originally set up. We went over our complaints and he told us he seemed to think that we had justified reasoning. He brought it to their “Refund Committee” who did not deem it justified. I asked for the following questions to be answered.

1. We want a rebuttal to our complaints with hard evidence as to why they feel our complaints are not valid.
2. We also want a full break down as to where the money we gave to them at contract signing has been allocated.
3. In addition to their simple statement that their decision of our case is justified, we are requesting an example of what they would consider a justifiable reason for a refund.

It has been a week now and we have heard nothing. I would not advise anyone to fall for these schemes and if you are interested in a program such as this one DO NOT pay any money for it. After looking into it there are a lot of credible resources available on the internet AT NO CHARGE.

Ripoff
Sounded good and thought I might gain some insight as to how to cut some costs on my mortgage. Recieved information in the mail and it was a bunch of paper with lines and a book with a little bit of good insight into the mortgage business and how to work around that by sending in extra payments. DA!!
Never heard from anyone, they say they tried my cell and could not get ahold of me even though I use my cell on average 10 times a day and no one else seems to have a problem. They send out an e-mail that went into spam and I never got and then they say we tried!
Called them told them I would be a few days late on returning the product as I had been WORKING OUT OF TOWN to pay my mortgage! and they said AOK send it in anyway and we will cancel you. Now I am still being charged monthly even though I was told that this would be cancelled !!! A rip off! These people are helping no one except themselves, to your money.
This type of company is nothing but a bunch of scammers. Don't buy their product or you will be sorry!

Useless company
The company, No More Mortgage is unfortunately, similar to others that you may here on the mainstream radio. They will advertise their free information with the exception of shipping and handling. They will give you a time period in which to evaluate the product before you are charged the full product price. When you call to inquire about the product you will no doubt here about all the benefits, and how they help reduce the tide of consumer debt. The representative pretty much reads from a script, which I imagine with a lot of time, and hard work, one can become quite efficient with. They will record your conversation/order, which tells you right away about their product this is a huge red flag that tells me that people who purchase this product may not be happy at all, and NMM needs to refer back to the old ‘we have your voice confirmation on tape.

After receiving this product, my personal advice is:

* This product is NOT needed. Anyone with basic 6th grade math skills should be able to figure out a simple budget, which is really just addition, subtraction and a little projection. Company actually sent a VERY high-tech budgeting device yes, a piece of paper with lines on it, and common sense advice on the CD.
* If you really want to get out of debt, your very first step should be to NOT order this product thats right put the nearly $400 for this product back in your pocket.
* Spend a little money on Quicken not only will you get fantastic budgeting abilities, but you will have a great opportunity to download your transactions, look at trends etc, and do automatic budgeting based on your real spending.
* If you have already ordered this product, and are still within the trial-period, then chances are you are pretty disappointed. Go ahead and give their customer service a call, and ask for a return authorization. They will try and get you to keep the product by telling you of all the benefits, extending your trial etc. If you are really considering keeping this gem of a product, go ahead and call customer service anyway chances are that by being firm in your desire to return the product, you will get them to negotiate the product cost down to almost nothing.

If you are past your trial period and have found this product to be a great candidate for your trash can, you will not be able to bargain down or return it. If you do not pay, they will get around to calling you in about a year.
Believe me the only people getting out of debt is this company, by sitting back and collecting a fat windfall from desperate customers.

I want to take my experiences and help guide others on them. Personally, I believe this product is an incredible waste of resources; time and money. Good luck on trying to reduce / control your debt. Do yourself a favor get quicken and use your own common sense on spending you will come out ahead by far.
