In June 2009, I purchased a "Call Antigua Cell" phone card. Upon being charged double ($.22/min) the said charge ($.11/min) for calling a CELL PHONE in Antigua, the Nobelcom customer service representative I spoke with told me to buy a "Call Antigua" phone card (not "Cell") to offset the system thinking the number I was calling was a landline.
In October 2009, their system once again switched the rate I was paying to call this Antigua phone number. Instead of being charged 11-cents per minute, I began being charged 22-cents per minute -- AGAIN. In essence, Nobelcom has tricked me twice into paying higher rates for the same exact phone number. I was only charged a correct normal rate for the span of 3 months.
From October 2009 to April 2010 (6 months), Nobelcom has been shamelessly siphoning money from my rechargeable phone card. Looking back at my credit card records (since the Nobelcom website inconveniently does not even list my order dollar total nor my call history), I've spent $325 on their phone cards since October 2009. But they've been tricking me into paying double for the same exact phone number this entire time. Therefore, they've overcharged me a rough estimate of $160!!
I called and wrote to complain but all they tried to do was offer me a pathetic $18 extra on my current phone card. Excuse me but no thank you. I will not waste my money or time on a company that uses con-artist schemes and trickery to steal money from me.
My last correspondence was an email on 4/5/2010 at 3:25pm EST to "upper management" as recommended by a useless customer service representative manager stating my case. I demanded a refund to my credit card for $162.50, exactly half of the money they tricked me into paying when they charged me double the said rate. They have yet to reply.
